1. The Red Paintings (Australian band now based in LA)
2. Nine Inch Nails
3. Mono
4. Sigur Ros
5. Posies
The Red Paintings' live experience with life changing. They got all these crazy Video shits going and also they have human canvases to have painters to paint on stage. Music is kinda special as well, Orchestral Art Rock is what they called.
NIN was stunning, even though they did not bring their full lighting and LED rig, it was still great. maybe just becoz i was in the first row.
Mono was way cooler than other post rock band i've seen, they def got their own sound and visionary of music. I was taken away throughout the set.
Sigur Ros was quite mind blowing consider that it was the time they just turned Major (Takk era) and playing all the older songs.
Posies, they got the real rocker attitude that i respect as an audience point of view (venue was considered quite shitty but they handled it like a champ), a true Rock n Roll band.

I should add NIN to my list, amazing visuals. I don't like them all that much, but on this tour they did a really cool organic instrumental set, Trent was on vibes/xylophone.

I have to say, I'm kind of sad that I'm the only one that has had their brain blasted out by The Chariot.
It's one of those shows that, even if you don't care for their studio stuff, I think everyone should experience them live.

Yeah, if you live in Arkansas and want to see names like that, you're going to be traveling.
Oh, I can't believe I forgot to list King Crimson in Chicago. It was one of three dates they played there in August of 2008. I think the place was called Park West and it was really intimate. The capacity was probably just a few hundred people. Also, Robert Fripp is really weird. He sat behind a wall of gear the entire time so you really couldn't see him. Then, during the standing ovation they received, he stood off the side and applauded his band mates. I mean, that's cool and all, but it was the 40th year anniversary and people were there because of music he wrote. Anyway, strange.
