I had an experience asking a girl out that crushed me and left me traumatized all the way up to the last year of high school. And then they were all going away to college. Well, plus at that point I was done with everything.

......ah yes, high school...I look back on it fondly.

The EU 'government'

And the latest in the list is no more MidFi pedals.

Somebody nuke this shit already.

Yes, that is such a fuck-up! I tried to get Dougs pedals into the fortress of EU custom twice and failed miserably. At least they got sent beck both times. Got to go to the states just to finally get that effing Clari(not) I've been wanting forever.

O.o

Why wouldn't they be able to get through? I've never had a problem other than it taking longer sometimes.

Something to do with ROHS compliance, I think. I tried shipping said Clari(not) to Mr. Phantasmagorovich only to have it go off the grid for almost 2 months and arrive back on my doorstep randomly one day. It was stamped with a giant red DENIED ACCESS DUE TO MATERIALS CONTAINED WITHIN. We tried to figure out a smooth way to smuggle that bitch in but no dice.

Weirdest part: I packed the shit out of it for the long trip, box wrapped in brown paper and taped to holy hell yet it was denied by Customs without ever being opened, totally untouched. I declared it with a simple "used guitar pedal", no mention of brand. They have the some strictly enforced "blacklist" going down over there.

you can get an Ondes-style controller from Analogue Systems, the folks that make a lot of the synth gear Jonny uses, but they're ungodly expensive. the whole AS system he uses would be like $35K in civilian dollars.

Why can't I just wake up and be 55?

Why'd you want that? Having an old body without at least getting to enjoy the travel there sounds like a bad idea to me.

you don't want to wake up and be 55. you want to wake up and be, say, 35 or 40. you've made the major mistakes, so you should know what to avoid. you've still got the energy and the physical functionality left to do most of the stuff you did in your 20s, and by then you've built up enough work experience that you can live at something above a would-you-like-fries with/foam on that? lifestyle. and you've fucked enough that you're good at it. by your 50s things hurt a lot, and stuff you didn't take care of when you were having fun starts breaking down...your back, your knees, your lungs and/or cardiovascular system. you never wake up in the morning and go "whoo! it's a new day!" i wouldn't want to go back to my twenties, but i'd go back to 35 in a split-second...that was the best time of my life.

No

There's lots of quirky things your body does as you get older, and half of 'em have to do with your penis.

My teeth are already fucked. I lost part of one last night. It's not like I don't brush them, although it has been a while since I've been to the dentist. I wanna see his eyes once he spots the goldmine

By the way, I swallowed it, hoping that it will regenerate itself.
