I remember my road test: I took all the turns too fast, ran a stop sign, was 5mph over the speed limit, and forgot where the parking brake was... but I still passed.

VCU won today. Seems like they're doing just fine. Lets hope they continue to do well. I just hope things don't get out of hand on campus like last semester. sheesh.

Also, Timeline ordered. Woo!

I had an awesome day yesterday. So fucking good!

My car had broken down the day before and I had to leave it in this small town 45 minutes out of Cologne to get it fixed. The dude told me that I could pick it up at 11 and that would've been about right for me with my work schedule. So I took the train out there and read a little about 60's and 70's modernist architecture. I love architecture. It's one of my latest passions. Really. If I could go back ten years, I would've studied architecture. Anyway, The train didn't go all the way and I had to walk a little bit. Yesterday was the first real day of spring. Sunshine, blue sky 18°C, soo nice. And like I often do, I think to myself: "taking this day off would be the best". Turns out my car wouldn't be fixed until in the afternoon, because those idiots were out of gas for the welder. So I call in and take the day off on short notice, which did work, because there's not much to do and the boss kinda likes me. And then I drifted for the whole day. Met a co-worker, met my girl and had sushi in the sun, played some guitar, met my girls parents (for the first time, kinda weird) programmed a beat on my ipad, played some Monkey Island. Such an awesome day!

I got an interview at that factory. They're only hiring overnights right now for 12 hour shifts, but, I need the money more than I need sleep. I hope it pays well.

Watching Independence Day.. because Jeff Goldblum and Will Smith... that's why. And it's a cool movie to watch on a lazy day.

Thank you.
Same place as my undergraduate, SUNY Brockport.
Supposedly one of the best counseling master's program in the state.
I applied for the mental health counseling program, specifically.

i set up my pedalboard and looper setup after not having it out of the cases since sometime in January...i put everything away because i wasn't comfortable doing my experimental stuff with my roommate around. not only did everything set up with a minimum of hassle, but i now have one of the little thirty-second stacked guitar-and-faux-bass-through-the-Frequency-Analyzer loops i like to leave on for ambience/to make me feel less lonely rumbling through the Laney. it sounds like one of those bootleg Garcia/Kaukonen/Casady jam breakdowns from the late 60s.

followed up on working with the pedalboard--have i mentioned lately how much i love my Algal Bloom?--by getting out my favorite of the 2 Strats and playing with it some. it wasn't making me entirely happy, so i backed down the bridge PU to make it less barky. this made it more like what i want, so i then dug around in the parts box, found another old Strat bridge, and changed the Allen screws on the bottom two bridge saddles so the screws don't stick up and scrape my hand. result: happy Strat.
