That game was hella weird.
Who's got a program working for his project? Meeeeeeeeeeeee. And with more than 7 weeks left to analyse and improve it. This is unusual.
Also, today we had a big poster day where everyone on the course demonstrated their project and there was a buffet and drinks. It was really cool being around all the posters explaining these crazy projects and thinking "shit, we're actually all pretty clever and studying some seriously interesting stuff". It was nice to be able to see uni as about something other than exams, coursework and what grades you get; reminded me that I am actually learning and developing engineering skillz in general as well as just learning what I need to pass the exams.
For me, doing new research is incredibly cool and rewarding when I step back from the tediousness of the work and reflect on how amazing it is that I'm doing this. Ordinary school/university work where you're answering a set question or at least working towards a well known conclusion is pretty boring.

My band has a gig this Friday. I'm playing drums and one of my friends is playing Bass, it's pretty awesome. And yes there will be DOOM
