the only better thing is when you find out they've re-released something impossibly rare that you used to have or never got to hear. when i found out that Trap Door and Proof Through the Night by T Bone Burnett had been pressed on CD after being OOP for 15 years i jumped for joy, and when the Neu! records came out on CD i was beside myself.

The only time I've every changed strings on a guitar is if I broke one. Otherwise I'll leave them on for however long I have the guitar. Which is usually over a year.
: puke:
I loooooove the sound of dead strings! Not all strings don't work well for this however...

Hell yes. I hate the sound of new strings, on guitar or especially bass.

I may or may not be a massive sap. I ended up watching marriage videos on youtube for about 15 minutes before I caught myself.

i like brand new strings on guitar--especially on acoustic--and the oldest strings possible on bass. if i could i'd buy used flatwounds for bass.
i'm such a total mush that i could watch that kind of stuff for hours, except that because of my divorces and aloneness it'd make me so sad i'd want to die. i'll tell you, there's NOTHING like seeing the woman you love in the wedding dress. my second wife was so beautiful i almost fell down when i saw her.

My best man laughed at me when my wife walked in, because I was apparently standing agape.
And roundwounds about 1-4 months old are the best sounding strings.

Glad I'm not alone.
Also, I got off my lazy ass and microwaved some mexican food. Shitty burritos and taquittos night!

i remember reading an interview in Guitar Player with "Duck" Dunn back in the late '70s where he said that he still had the same strings on his P-bass that had been on it when he bought it in the 1950s, excepting the E string which he'd had to replace because it broke.

I hate it when the strings on my bass get that dead thump sound. My playing style is aggressive, and I want my bass to sound the same way. Speaking of which, just got two new sets of Circle K strings, gonna restring both of my basses tonight before practice.

Okay, i've broke up with my girl yesterday... this time for good
a lot of problems lately and i haven't had any more energy to deal with everything and you know... it was starting to get kinda ridiculous.
now i'd like some time on my own... the biggest problem is i've never had sex outside a relationship and i don't know how to manage that
and meeting new people might be quite problematic for me sometimes...
although, as most of you know, i'm fucking desirable
so... MY STOCK IS FOR SALE AGAIN AND I FEEL FUCKING GREAT SOMEHOW

(funny thing, started to write this to the sad thread

)
