inspired by warpsmasher's new arrival, i went looking at ESP?LTD Stream basses and found this:

i already filled the 2022 'burst bass slot, but these're going on the watchlist :snax:
Nice, yeah the bevels really work in tandem with the burst on those ones, adds another dimension.

 yeah that happens, my bass almost makes the hack job list  when we got it the OG pickuard was completely melted, and as you can see someone drilled the headstock to put in rhinestones...

also I almost think it is a refin as the holes for the bridge ashtray cover are filled in under the finish.. [or they did a lacquer melt-fill...] but why someone would refin anything in brown burst I have not idea.. also as you can see over time I've replaced the hardware with what I had found at the time as the tuners and bridge were rusted and bent and missing screws :idk: on the plus side it is amazing playing and sounding bass, it has a "B" size neck [1-5/8" nut] that is slightly offset shaped like a Van Halen neck but not as extreme, AND it's birdseye :thumb:

i'll bet - i did a show once where a guy in one of the other bands had a '74 P (natural) - had the beefier neck, but that bass alone cured me of my bias against Ps (which is irrational and has something to do with the way my ear hears the attack characteristics of *any* bass with a pickup @ that location) - anyway, that night, that P sounded like the voice of Gilgamesh (or something  )
