whatta goofball.
Goofball is not the word I would use.
I can only imagine the Kafkaesque levels of WTF  and doubt this must give rise to in you and yours. It makes me angry, maybe because it resonates with the only similar experience I have had of such pure bad faith, ill will and spite: a bad divorce. But to go through this outside of that context? Insanity.

Finished designing the first Effector 13 fuzz, my first original fuzz in years. Now it's in the hands of Infanem- Instruments for a New Electric Music to make into a PCB!
I'm sort of surprised that Infanem is supporting her on this/doing PCB work for her. I'd try to distance as much as I could.

Alright, I have kind of avoided all this. I haven't bought anything related to her or her name in over 11 years. I have bought Dwarfcraft and I think they make great stuff.

But seriously, 3 days on a design? And then outsource the PCB design to somebody who is probably doing it for free. And then getting somebody else to make them (I think Infanem doesn't etch them himself).

Just watching Dino go throught the design process for the buzzaround based pedal (which was awesome) or keeping an eye on subdecays design process, how could this possibly be something new? I know getting ready to make my own effect has taken me over a month of on and off research. She said she prototyped it in a night. There is no QC, RD, or trouble shooting there. Then shipped it off? I'm not surprised that Infanem is sticking with her; I don't think they ever wern't friends which is fine. She was still demoing his pedals.

But watching this happen repeatedly for over 10 years just boggles my mind. I think E13 was in the hands of somebody else for a while too. What happened to that? Did they get screwed too? Screwing the good people at Dwarfcraft is terrible (even though I always felt they didn't need that name to be succesful) and I support the heck out of them.

I recently found out thanks to Chank that I was a very very early customer of hers when she was based out of Texas. Before Devi Ever and even before the webcomic was put up on the E13 site that introduced Devi Ever. Same stuff back then, but she wasn't so crass. The experience soured me on pedals built by individuals for a long time.

Anyway, I am glad that people like Dwarfcraft, Fuzzhugger, SS/BS, Subdecay, etc (too many to list honestly) exist now. Eternally greatful to all the great pedal companies out there.

Been done with E13 for 11 years. Still am.

Here's some food for thought. Roy from Greenhouse has been developing a pedal for me for the past 6-7 months! 6-7 months!!!! It's still not perfect. It's getting close, very, very close, but it's a difficult thing that takes time. Especially when it's an innovative product, which is what we are releasing.

Like Dwarfcraft does. I mean, look at their stuff. Who the hell else is doing shit like them? No one. IMO, they are HUGELY underrated.

Whereas on the other hand Devi will pump out 16 variations of the same exact pedal with different transistors or a few minor placement changes in parts.

We can probably lock this thread now. As much love as we have seen from you guys, she is going to try to stir up shit by lying and I don't really want to engage that here, or anywhere else.

She is banking on us behaving in the way she would if the tables were turned. We got screwed, but I am unwilling to do that to another person, even if the deserves it.
While I think you are doing the wise thing by not sinking to that level, I fear that she's left herself strategic options (despite her problems, she is good at online manipulation) - I think silence of her victims is an operating mode she's very comfortable with and helps orchestrate.

If you look at the last Console update, HP Lovecraft tried to ask for an update on twitter and was immediately blocked. When devi does publish a youtube video she typically either disabled comments altogether or selectively deletes comments that forward parts not presenting her in the best of lights.

I did some asking around and discovered that the organizer of the "consolegate" FB and twitter group was paid off by devi's current superfan Jason (opasx on twitter). I strongly suspect (though it is just a suspicion it is speaking to state of mind after all) this was motivated not to repay an investor, but because the organizer was ramping up and making enough noise where some action might actually happen and he needed to be quieted.

I fully expect this posting will be subject to a Devi Ever screenshot and some form of misrepresentation, much like how Devi Ever has broadcasted repeatedly and at length, about having mental health issues but then lambasts others for acknowledging and accepting that.

Right on man. I mean I must have read hundreds of pages on different takes on preamps from all different sources just for my dumb DIY project. I just can't imagine, no matter how good you are and well you know the parts, that anything can progress that fast without having significant problems while also just being a variation of the same old circuits.

I know cloners spend hours testing transistors for the right sound. They spend more time with their pedals than she did completely developing a new pedal even though it is a copied circuit.

Excited to see what comes out from Dwarftcraft. Be neat to see your pedal too jwar. Really want an ARF too.

Well right. I know that she is lying about a lot of things, in public and about us. But I don't think there is all that much to gain by arguing with her. She is too good at lying and manipulation. I just simply don't have the skills to go toe to toe with that in public. We have ethics on our side, but that won't mean shit to customers who like the drama and the cheap fuzz. There are too many people who will buy into her shit to make it worth fighting her. She can take that as my weakness or her superiority to us, or whatever. I don't care.

She is now chatting with Lawrence from Ohnoho and working with the dudes from Bearfoot on designs, so obviously some people still think she is worth working with.

As far as the console thing goes, she is telling people she has paid off half of the investors. As far as the records she shared with us, that isn't true, but how the fuck do we prove that? Lots of people were sympathetic and said she didn't owe them anything because people were persecuting her online. Lots have asked us for pedal refunds. At least now I can send them her way instead of holding back information to protect her.

I dunno. I am over it.

If this is the case, I'm sure TGP (who, on the whole are huge supporters of Bearfoot) would love to know about her recent escapades on here posting racial slurs and fecal porn, not to mention breaking contracts (which would likely be of interest to Bearfoot themselves).

whoa. I have no idea what their relationship is. Just that she said she was going to order shit from him and he said cool.

See, this is why we haven't said much. We don't need to throw everyone under the bus, here.

Oh OK. Don't worry, I wasn't going to post anything. Just speculating. You said "working with" which I took a different way I guess.

I mean if you're a TGP user, sharing is caring.
