I'm thinking of taking a day to drive up to Chattanooga and try out all the BAT pedals at the shop. That would be pretty damn sweet.
my timeline has mostly killed my delay gas, but i still can't help but have two delays on my board. love tape/drum style sounds so i scooped up an echorec and thats been my go-to combo for the last couple years. i've picked up a few delays over the last couple years and they've all been flipped as the timeline/echorec remain.phantasmagorovich wrote:At some point I had four delays, mostly coveted boutiquey stuff, all on my board, but they finally got canned by the Strymons. First El Cap, then I upgraded to the Timeline. Even though the TL is far from able to make all the sounds you can create with delay, it's still so versatile that I have not completely used it to it's fullest. I love that thing. Somehow it has killed almost all of my delay GAS. And I have special pedals for delay sounds the TL can't create (MWFX Judder, GB24), those will take a very specific subset of delay, stuff usually hidden in the "misappropriation" drawer and expand on that.
I'm happy with delay. But I want to step up my modulation game!
Edit: a buddy will let me borrow his possessed! How great to know gearheads in the same town.
I stole a lot of those picks from a shitty roommate and they are perfect for me, strong enough to withstand barre chords but thick enough to pick out clear single note progressions. I play a bass more and fingerstyle style fits my sound so they sit around in wait. I found I like the cat tongue picks (black coloured) for picked bass, they are thick but give in nicely.Sparrow wrote:all those thick picks on the last page ..
i feel so small.
i do use other picks. and. no picks.
these feel SO right to me.
That sounds awesome, you tried any of them before? I haven't tried the pharaoh but the LSTR killed for me on bass, I just sold it because I didn't 100% love it on guitar and then I forgot how great it was until just now.neonblack wrote:I'm thinking of taking a day to drive up to Chattanooga and try out all the BAT pedals at the shop. If you think you’re gonna play the blues with this, you’re wrong. Nothing to see here, move on to the Compressor Pro page. If you think compressors are a waste of time and the only time your pedals sound good are when the battery is dead, you’re at the right place! I designed this pedal in concept while texting and driving. Texting both Atlee Hickerson and the mad scientist Aaron Tackett, they got it done. Sew Prowd Uf Ewe Too!
Still think it's a hoax, and, basically, a Noise Ensemble. Would rawk it if I found one used for less than $100 Monopoly Moneez. WIth Gir stickers all over it for "protection." Or, wait for rebirth of Luck Duck.insubordination wrote:https://robertkeeley.com/product/absolute-wurst/
Just discovered this weird offering from Keeley. Very little to go on other than a crappy 90-second demo, but I'm...kinda intrigued? Not $199 intrigued. But maybe the price will drop like other recent Keeley stuff that didn't really take off.
I don't think it's a hoax, or else PGS wouldn't be selling it: http://proguitarshop.com/keeley-the-absolute-wurst.htmlDandolin wrote:Still think it's a hoax, and, basically, a Noise Ensemble.
