And I did play that 3x15... I forgot about that haha I MUST experience it on all at once :!!!:

Yeah I could see how that guitar would be a GAS killer!

You lucky effin duck..... Neurosis avoids DC like the plague, and Yob hasn't come around here in a long long time.

I don't understand flipping. Not to put anyone down, but collecting and using gear is far more fun than receiving and shipping out stuff once every two weeks. Maybe it's because it's so hard to sell things in Ireland, but I've never been a gear-flipper. There's only a few things that I didn't like and sold/sent back within a month. The Iron Ether Xerograph Deluxe was one I remember off the top of my head. The Whetstone and Spaceman Aphelion Overdrive were two others I remember as well, and a Rob Chapman guitar (what a headache that was).

Oh I get told my rig is overkill all the time, but I don't play music to please them, I do it to cathartically release all the pent up misanthropy and anger I hold inside. And a single 4x12 can't express that.

Absolutely. To be honest, any loud amp would do the job, that is as long as you have the right pedal. Matt Pike is now using Blackstar Series One amps, which I've tried extensively and not found appropriate for Doom, Sludge, Stoner, you name it. But with a BAT Oath fuzz then anything will drone.

Darren from Ancient warlocks uses a SF I believe, he runs an Ape Blaster into it and it sounds huge. I use two Earth amps which are a fender cloned circuit and run a pharaoh and some other stuff in front and I freaking love what comes out of those speakers!

Bassman 135 is what D normally rocks. It one of the louder Fenders with 4 6l6s in ultra linear. Probably only rivaled by say a Super Twin with 6 x 6l6s.

D told me last that since he likes to run his AB at a higher output volume there is 2 much disparity between the clean pedal off volume and the pedal on volume. Since its a non master amp it pretty much can go from not that loud to wicked fuckin loud if you use the pedal to boost.

On the Bassman135 there is a master to prevent 2 much volume rise when the pedal is turned on. it instead compresses the preamp more before increasing the volume as much.

That cab he's got makes it loud as hell, sounded really good for the halloween show.
