For one of those points of interest..
when you get into the subject of dying wood the are a bunch of peeps that say leather dye works great. Well not in my experience. Or at least not if you use old growth pine (reclaimed), the stuff fades but in strange ways… I don’t hate the look at all, but when I finished it it was all purple.. (y’all can scroll back in the thread to find the original photo is you want) so here is my Musicman Frankenstein- the grapebass in it current state

Some of those pedals work with the Gear Hero colorway and some don't. Too much white on those.

Fender seems to have gone completely sparkle-happy, and i'm here for it. though the sparkle sunbursts may be a bridge too far. the main reason i was considering the Squier Esquire Custom was the extremely bitchin' blue sparkle finish. if i had unlimited funds i'd be in peril of becoming known as the Weird Sparkly Guitars Guy.
