You have to pay taxes on money earned from being a RA or TA along with money from fellowships. Tax laws changed about 3-4 years ago regarding this. Oh man. That sucks a dick. makes sense though, cause i've been out of school for about 5 years now. That was the only perk to even being there: that i got everything back in refund.
