the last week gig went VERY well and there's a plenty of cool repercussions. Always nice to hear the label reps and the promoters that happened to be there liked the show.

one great side effect of the whole unemployment/depression/relationship-loss thing is that i lost 35 pounds, and now can fit into clothes i haven't worn for a decade.

My friend wants me to guide her through buying a starter bass/gear. She's already a so-so guitarist, but would be an awesome post-punk bassist with some practice. Not to mention she knows a drummer so we could have some freaky post-punk/shoegaze three piece going pretty soon.

And I get to geek out on gear. What's a good starter bass fuzz? EHX bass muff/black russian? I might just loan her my russian for a while I'm not using it on my 'gaze board atm.

This is cool.
Team Awesome or die.
Mmm...I don't know about many non-spensive bass fuzzes. I thought the Bass Big Muff sounded like butt though :idk:

Black Russian is a solid starter. TAFM is radical once you get going.

I wanted to share this, because it's awesome.
