Can someone mod-like just set up a stickied thread...'Hate on effects >> HERE! <<'...and leave the rest of it all alone?

that would........ be awesome. trolls are weird. i can see the fun of going into a Christian site and asking "are there any foods that will cause a miscarriage? if not, does anybody want to hook up for some your genitals on my mouth sex to help me pay for an abortion?"...... taking the piss out of people that are taking themselves WAY too seriously is cute. but about the only place i like on TB is the EFX yareas........ 'cause the peeps are way more relaxed....... blegh.
freaking youtube is taking forEVAH to load up. just did another quick Expressyohater video thingie. man this thing rokks. thought i was going to love it with the Xero, but i think....... i suck...... with exp pedals into filters. i lurv the Xero as an envelope filter way more. freaking want my Prometheus DLX. GIMME. taking so damn long. i guess dooder at SubDecay lost a couple builders, is in the middle of training a new 'un and it's slowing stuff up. damnit.

There should just be a hardline ruuuulllle like JT's on any hating on the ERBs [is it still in effect?] Or everyone put in their sig "for every anti-fx post in FX I will post about Satan and or Darwin in the P&W thread"

Satan only needed four strings, but Darwin evolved with five.

all silliness aside, i have some fam that has been in the military. met a lot of different people that are/have been in service. all kinds in there. some really cool peeps, more fucking misanthropic genetic dumping grounds........ but that's true almost anywhere in the RL isn't it?
getting so bored of over there. blegh.
Totally. I know some marines. They're all right with me. I got no problem with the people, just the mentality.

yosu.... more microphone stoopidity....
first off, never letting them DI me live again if i can help it. FUCK the Shure 52 sounds GOOD. i spaced who recommended it, but THANK YOU. woof.
so.... i'm getting a CRAZY quiet signal. like, i have the input volume in the Motu 828's software all the way up, the mic input boost all the way up, the Beta52 a couple inches from the speaker in my cab, the head turned up loud enough to be uncomfortable to listen to in the room i'm recording, and i get it to go 1/4 of the way towards the red. conversly, if it's lining in to the same input, i have to have input boost at less than half or it clips.
what am i doing wrong? i picked up a cheapie Art tube preamp (dooder that's actually knowledgable at GC told me to try it) to put in front of the Motu, see if that helps.... is that necessary?
i'm an IDIOT about mic'ing. first time i've tried it.
mewwwwww?

Woot JT. So... I think then every time someone does it just report the post as trolling and then about love for Satan and or Darwin in the P&W thread

I went by my favorite music store today.
Matt pulled a ’73, maple fretboard, natural finished, Gibson Ripper from the back room and said try this.
Ok I’m not a Gibson fan.
Most I’ve tried, sound muddy or honky, have horrible necks and are difficult to play due to horrendous neck dive.
This one actually played like a dream and sounded great.
Wouldn’t give up one of my Fenders for it but it was a nice bass.

Why wouldn't you crank the input gain before you turned up the head?
Usually I crank the input gain until it hits my with the "shit's gone into the red, son" and the adjust to taste.
Of course, I actively sought out and purchased Iggy Pop's remasted of
Raw Power, which in hindsight I'm learning is generally spoken of as the loudest CD ever released, so YMMV.
