how does it stay in tune with such tunings? And what strings do you use to keep it from sizzeling like shit? I mean I have DR DDT-13 and I only play dropped D or C standard... and shit sizzles like crazy.

I passed on the strat but I did find a MIM Tele Deluxe at a pawnshop that is more my style. As much as I don't wanna,....I'm going to put it on Layaway. It's a little more then I want to spend on a guitar and the only way to keep someone else from buying before I get paid on the 20th is to put $100 bucks on it. Unfortunately layaway means I have to pay sticker price (as opposed to the $300 + Tax for the Tele, Tweed Case and a new set of strings that was offered to buy it outright),...but it's still a better deal then buying new. The money is there but we also have a large rent/deposit check floating out there as well as my cell phone bill Autopay and I don't wanna overdraw my account.

Wheelin and Dealin. Gonna puts some 11's on it for the moment. Just to play in Drop D.

I played it through a $3000 Black Cat guitar combo amp that FUCKING SCREAMS. Well out of my price range though.

They also had a Sunn Beta Bass that would be cool to own,....but I'm set on amps for now. If it's still there in a couple of months I might pick it up.

Nothing wrong with those decisions, buckered Tele in a cool colour/guard config with spiffy knobs.

This also made me realize that Mudfuzz has ruined teles for me, my first thought whenever I see one now is to turn it into a BassVI.
