I'm RGT, and I've been obsessed with guitar playing for the last 16+yrs. I'm a total audiophile and of course I love fuzz. All those crash and burn, my amp just exploded, my pickups are in a deep fryer guitar sounds are right up my alley.

Hey I'm Peter. I'm surprised to realize that I've been playing guitar and bass for 20 years now and I should be alot better by now. I don't spend so much time online but I got an ABsynth last summer and a Phantom Octave last month and I have nobody cool to talk about them with. I'm on the EHX forums and while there are good people on there the conversation never gets past uber polite discourse. And no one gets my various witty remarks.

I just joined the forum after seeing one of pumpkin pieces' demos. I'm a 22yo guitarist and I've been playing for about 6 years. My influences spawn from mostly lofi recordings and a lot sampling. Nothing really interesting to tell... I'm still learning to play, I'm also learning 4 or 5 other instruments along the way. Also new to recording so I'm probably as green as they come but my enthusiasm is there. The boring parts? I studied Journalism at Uni and I got my first full time job mid last year. My gear since then has quadrupled (as has my playing time--average of 5-6 hours). I have issues sleeping which is why I have so much free time on my hands. Some more 'popular' bands/artists I enjoy listening to include Mogwai, Pooma, The Books, Bright Eyes, Animal Collective, etc.
Hoping to learn a lot from this forum as I'm about to start building my first pedal!

Oh, and what would a introduction post to a Fuzz Forum be without mentioning my fuzz boxes?! Well I officially only have the one. A modded Fuzz Factory. But the Moog Freq Box and an 88 ProCo RAT can do some VERY convincing fuzz tones.

Hello,
after a couple of posts I guess I am going to stay. So here's the introduction:
My name is Mick, I live in Cologne, Germany. I am 30 yrs old and play guitar for 11yrs. I've played in a postrock band for about 5 years:
axiom:tram - it's now long gone. After that I had a folkish duo:
baby, you can follow me down - this is defunct for 2 years. Lately I've tried to fuse members of both bands together. First we created the shortlived and never graced with a myspace-page Goldberg Machine. This didn't go too well. We were all going for different directions. Our drummer was an Improv/FreeJazz veteran, the bassist wanted to go into some droney dark ambient stuff and the other guitarist tried to introduce some old-fashioned psychedelic. I tried to put in some Devo and other artsy Punkrock. Then we called it quits due to time problems. Now the problems have been resolved and we're back together (minus the drummer) and miraculously have found common ground in Noise/Drone. I've decided to call this new project Gewöll. I'll post some stuff as soon as there are recordings.
I don't really care much for recording, but since my new amp has a recording out maybe I'll also start to do some shit solo.
My non musical life revolves around a local newspaper I work for (hey jrspacecadet!), my wife and daughter, books and the musical life.
My musical preferences read like a best of anything. Right now I'm really into drone, favourites being: Yellow Swans, Anla Courtis, Starving Weirdos, Fennesz, Rafael Toral, Oren Ambarchi. All-time inspirational: Keith Rowe, Fred Frith, Derek Bailey (not necessarily my favourite musicians to listen to for fun, but dude, checking those guys out really widens your mind!)

Hello all, foomanfat here.
I've been a member for a while but I've never A: been active here or B: introduced myself.
Some around these parts may have seen me active on TalkBass.
Bass is my main squeeze. I used to be a straight forward, bass > amp guy, but now I'm a well known by my fellow musicians as quite the noise maker.
I'm 20 years old and I've been playing bass for about 8 years. I play in my band The Answered, and I'm also an auto body technician at my dad's rods and customs shop.

sup. my name is Christopher. its taken almost a year but I can kind of play guitar (at least enough to impress girls and thats what counts right?).
don't have any real fuzz yet, just a boss multi-effect a friend found in his closet. I feel like I need to remedy this and get down to some right proper earbleedinnoisemakan asap.

Hey Phantasm! Glad you've decided to join us!
I spent quite a bit of time in and around Cologne a couple of years ago and I can't wait to go back! I'm glad that you're here, so I'll have someone to pester about life and music in Germany while I save up money to return to my favourite European country!!
I'm gonna go listen to your music now.

Hello,
I'm here for the fuzz, not much else to say. I suppose I'll open up a bit more as time passes. It is my goal to acquire an AB Synth,DE Destructo Noctavia and an Aenima. Then I will laugh as everything around me dies

Sorry, not much of a "huggy" type. Not big on emoticons, either. Thanks for the welcome though.
