turn signals are not options on cars as they are allegedly legally required to be used...

But you can only use them once you've already started turning/merging.

It's possible. If despite your frustration and annoyance, the only response you really care enough to give is a real life one of these: :picard: and you do it atleast 1,000,000,000 times a day, then we may just be the same person!

i hate the term hipster.

i hate reading an otherwise well thought out piece and then seeing hipster and just going 'wat.' it ruins the whole piece for me.

it doesn't make sense. it has absolutely no use as a definition, or really as anything other than a weak insult. i hateeeee it.

you know how people say america is a salad bowl? or a melting pot or whatever... i think hipster is a melting salad bowl of all the subcultures of the past 20 years. you can't really say hipsters are x because hipsters are allllll of the past xs combined in different ways.

and it's like, cool to hate hipsters too. sites like latfh, hipster runoff, etc.... maybe that's what people base their idea of a concrete hipster off of. i keep wanting to compare hipster to like, emo, in term for public outlash... but it doesn't really make sense to me. i just hate the word and other than when i'm complaining about people using the word it never escapes my lips.

(someone's gonna quote this and say 'hipster')

I fucking hate hipsters. Though, on a person to person basis. It's purely coincidental.

I hope you're not calling Kanye a hipster because that is not only wrong, but an insult to hipsters.

lol, I call myself a hipster all the time. The thing is any true hipster would deny that there is such thing as a hipster and more importantly that they are one. Yeah, it pretty much is a pejorative term, but since I've moved back to a small town I've learned to embrace it. All there are around here are hicks, metal-heads, wigger-hicks and the occasional DMB loving hippie-wannabe. They wouldn't even know what a hipster is. I've always thought the term indie-kid seems a better alternative, but once again a "true" indie-kid/hipster would deny there even being any sort of category for them to be put into.

My dad has really been riding me lately and it's really pissing me off  He doesn't realize the more he lectures me, the less I actually listen, and he's well past the point of me tuning him out. It took me a while to feel like I could be honest and have an open discussion with my parents, and now I'm going back to saying/doing things just so they'll shut up. GAH! I'm an adult. Why should I have to deal with this!!

This....I am in agreement.

People seem to go out of their way to dislike other people for irrational reasons.

Example (and this puzzles me a great deal): Many people somehow completely fail to see how someone could possibly enjoy something that they don't. Not only that, but then they get all uppity about it with the attitude: "You like fill in the blank? The only reason you would like fill in the blank is because you're stupid/a hipster/ignorant/etc.."

I just like what I like and don't worry about what I don't. Plus, that kind of attitude is just dismissive and lazy.

That picture is nothing but hip. Jay-z is also a mother f'in hipster. Non script granny glasses and what.
