If you get to bring your small pedalboard then you'll be in your zone.

His band was supposed to be playing tonight but the drummer got hurt and backed out. Instead, I'm gonna join the remainder of his band for completely unrehearsed 25min drone set. Should be interesting, I've never stepped foot on a stage with zero preparation, completely clueless in terms of what I'm about to play. Couple drinks, lotta volume, let it rip, hope for the best....
fuck yeah
that just chubbed me up a bit

That's the only catch. My main boards are over at my buddy's jam spot and he's gone for the weekend. This was kinda last minute so I couldn't grab 'em. Whatevs, I have my LP and a few trusty pedals plus I'm staying with the Riffer and I'm sure he's got a little something sitting around for the borrowing. All good.

That's true. You are staying with a pedal builder.

So seems like my band is back to a 2 piece...the drummer and the other guitarist just arent comitted enough...fuckin sucks. Back on the hunt for a drummer again...i was hoping we would start recording and gigging by mid year...but that seems like a pipe dream now.

Fially getting the hang of eqing my dual rig, i do them separately till they sound awesome alone and then i just bump the bass and scoop the mids on one a tiny bit and bump the mids and presence on the other and shazam.....house shaking goodness.

Yeah, the not leaving contact info shit is annoying as fuck. Wish he would have because that video he sent you is pretty awesome. Seems like a good fit, IMO.

I wonder how that came about.
Danny is a fan of the band.
I'm not into Tool's music, but they are truly into music and underground music and want to help out bands that they like. I met Danny while I was playing with Mike and he is a very, very nice and enthusiastic person. He came out to watch us play in some warehouse venue in LA with 20 other people. Those guys are the real deal.

Yeah, Ape Blaster for me and Aaron uses a Buzzaround clone. He also has a Micro Amp in his loop to get the leads up.
The Iron Pig I got from empty paradigm got here today. I was feeling too aimless and lazy to play guitar so I did the ol' Rat headphone splitter oscillation routine for awhile:

I have a pcb that I have started to populate but I haven't gotten the transistors for it since they are expensive compared to the more commonly used ones. I was interested in it after seeing that Steve Albini video on youtube.

i'm getting a Chuck Collins Harmonic Percolator made to spec soon. it seems to be the closest to the original out there. really intested in hearing how that sounds like with my setup, drop tunings, etc... should be fucking sweet.

I made one up and it didn't behave like Steves. I've got a different clone incoming (eventually, at this point) and I'd like to see how that one holds up
