It has nothing to do with light weight or laziness. It has to do with the fact that my Leeds costs me about one tenth to one twentieth the cost of a Hiwatt amp. Which functionally means the choice between being able to have a reasonable facsimile of a Hiwatt sound, or not having one at all, since there is exactly zero chance I'll ever be able to afford the real thing. And although the price on SVTs is a little lower than a Hiwatt, I couldn't afford one of those, either. Not that I'm a huge fan of the SVT sound.

At least you went against the pack and got the Leeds as opposed to the VT. Most of the praise I see for the VT is because of the cost,...but I also catch a lot of "I don't want to lug around a tube amp" vibe from supporters of the VT.

Yeah, I've always like the quirkier and honkier sound you get from Hiwatts over the ridiculously generic rock/svt sound.

That's pretty much my issue with the VT. Too ubiquitous. I'm not saying that I wouldn't rock the SVT sound,...but if I'm going to I'd rather lug around a real SVT and take it to hell and back with copious amounts of Fuzz.

I used a VT when I was in a regular gigging band and it did what I wanted it to do. But the rusty box one in the end.

Heh, so I put a pickup on my upright finally. Haven't had a real good chance to run some effects through it yet, but I'm looking forward to making some ears bleed lol. Kinda wish I still had a synth of some sort.

Dude, echo, delay, verb, and stuff! so fun with a DB! Also feedback is awesome [and unavoidable] with them.

Also Still have never used a VT. But then I you know.. and well I like cheese, all kinds a cheese but I don't like Velveeta, even the smell of the stuff about makes me hurl. Gotta have the real thing! Ampses and pedalses are like cheese gott'a have the real stuff! a'nt talk'n SS vs godly glowing bulbs here just realz vs faux, an't got the time for shit made to sound sort'a like shit, an't got the interest to care if close is close cuz I know it will never be real and I'll want to hurl... You that reminds me there was this horrid movie I saw once, one of those spring break crap bags that had that dude that was in a like of bad 80's movies... and the goonies.. but anyway in the first 15 min the two dudes ate to much and while fuck'n some blonde one of the dude hurled down her top...

01) when helping out with dinner, make sure "Baste With Sauce" means what you think it means,

02) 5 minutes at 350 degrees and 1 minute at 1,750 are NOT the same thing,

03) always, ALWAYS check the experation date of ingredients.

The tape echo. It's big, cumbersome, if you make it mad it sounds like hell is breaking loose (which I actually happen to love about it lol), and I could prolly get something waaaaaaaay easier to transport in pedal form for the price that its worth. But the sound... Jesus the sound! It warms everything up and the delay sounds so epicly natural and musical. Guess I'm afraid of loosing that.

The DB will go someday to another student, but thats when I have a good enough gig to afford a 12k+ one. Cause only there they start to really shine.
