Chilling on the couch, watching Starcraft 2 tournaments and just generally relaxing. Spent the morning with the wife, and gonna get free food and cake for a cousin's birthday tonight. I love Saturdays.

I finally got a replacement trem-plate for my jag and now it plays like an absolute dream.
Fun fact: all parts replacemt arms are longer than stock ones*
*they don't have as big a bend in them as normal ones, so it's only like 1cm difference but, it's there

I spent my afternoon with the girl of my dreams. We laid in bed talking, joking and foolin' around, then got a late lunch at chinese place by my house. She's my best friend.

Guys, I KNOW that I'm going to marry this girl someday. I've known for a long while, but days like today drive it home.

I fucking love this girl.

today turned out not to suck nearly as much as i thought it might. i felt sad and lonely and thus slept most of the day, but eventually decided i'd spent too much of the last few days being dysfunctional and got up, took a shower, and went out to deal with stuff. my loopy ex-roommate left me a check to cover bills, so i took that and the money from my unemployment check to the ATM which is at the Safeway (the big grocery store in town). when i got out of the truck i dscovered that the little can that drives the turn signal flashers, which i thought was blown and needed to be replaced, had merely been kicked out of the socket on the fuse panel and worked just fine. there were two adorable little Girl Scouts outside the store selling cookies, so i bought two boxes of Thin Mints which i adore. after getting one of those enormous Angus Mushroom Swiss burgers i decided to go to Santa Cruz and look for CDs. they had none of the mid-period Joni Mitchell discs i wanted to maunder along with, and they didn't have Muswell Hillbillies but they did have a couple of other Kinks records i wanted to check out since i love so many Ray Davies-influenced artists such as Blur. i'm liking Something Else a lot. i also got a copy of Low Spark Of High-Heeled Boys by Traffic. i love that spaced-out, Afro-influenced early 70s Traffic stuff. so now it's cookies and milk, which still works no matter how old you are. with Jack Herer it's even better. it'd be better with a girlfriend, but it's better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick
