my girlfriend is coming over with her father to pick up clothes so she can go to work this week. i'm miserable and terrified...i haven't seen her since she walked out on Thursday. i don't know if i can see her withoug breaking down.

My advice, and I was a bit of an asshole about this with family previous... Have her get enough for two weeks. And in two weeks have her get all of it. You don't need her dropping by every Sunday getting you in a weekly loop of the down-funk.

Every time I get a new email I get excited that it's about a guitar. Then it turns out to be spam.

Yeah, well I got circumcised before I was a year old. :p

Life sucks. I'm just starting to get comfortable with that. It just a hodgepodge of waiting for things to happen or doing something you hate trying to make something happen. It's been years since the last time I felt I accomplished anything.

Fortunately, I'm back in school and hoping I can get my shit together.

the difficulty with the coming-to-get-her-stuff thing is that almost all of the furniture in the house belongs to her...the only things here that actually are mine are a dresser and computer workstation she bought me, my musical equipment, my computers, my CDs, and my clothes. i'm kinda curious whether she leaves me the bed.

I think that can get him into legal trouble...

back on topic, if I have to hear another bassist play hysteria for sound check, and then look around to see if people noticed them play hysteria, I will stick their headstock up their ass

I hate those Geico commercials with the guy saying "Could Geico really save you money..." so fucking much.

Yeah, my insurance doesn't even cost $400 a year, so there's no way some fancy talkin' lizard can save me that much. Those animated bastards.

@ stuff, dubkitty... I meant more immediate items, like clothing and personal care items, ipods, etc. Weekly 'visits' that just raise your anx level so your ex can grab a couple items will suck. The move out stuff is more grueling. But used furniture is plentiful and cheap and even free if you look for it. You can use the opportunity to make it your space with your stuff when it comes to that?

Plus you have cool sounding cats. Who needs expensive furniture when you have cats?

the cats have kept me from total despair for the last year while i've been out of work and my relationship was breaking down...they're the best.

i'm gradually beginning to think about the possibility of a future. it's still a horrible wall like a tsunami racing towards me, but there might be an infinitesimal chance of swimming. i didn't ever want things to come to this. and quite honestly i still really don't want to live through it. but i can feel that God-damned animal instinct that kept me alive all these years trying to set in between the despair and the miserableness.

i have to be very careful regarding anything that could get me into legal trouble. she's got a full arsenal of legal options at the ready, and has spat various legalities at me over the phone regarding her 90-day tenancy rights, willingness to get an emergency restraining order on trumped-up grounds, etc. my therapist has advised me to avoid contact with her as much as possible to protect myself from potential arrest and imprisonment.

^ If she's done some shit like that, call a police officer to come to the house when she comes to get stuff. It works. You will be suprised how little shit goes on when there's a cop waiting for her to get her stuff and get out. And then you get to chat with the police. They always have entertaining stories when they're bored on the job. Then you have a nice police officer and your therapist on your side if the trumped up restraining order comes up.

Sounds like a Swingers screening is in order for you, mr dubkitty. You're so money, and you don't even know it.

Other spite/rage/etc.:
Totally sprained up my finger playing streetball yesterday on a botched rebound... and on the same possession this dude threw the ball off the backboard and one-handed windmill dunked that fucker.
