i actually blame my strings... even though i bought the same 011 Ernie Balls as usual and they're WEEK OLD, E and A just sound ridiculously dull... is it even possible to make faulty strings?

I switched from Earnie Balls to DR Strings. They last much longer and don't seem to wear out that fast. And they are wound much better (I think)
didn't have the edge i was looking for... i also played GHS Gilmours for a while, but they wear out pretty fast. Also tried those Eric Johnson ones - the same problem. I'm happy with EB, i probably just got a bad package
