So, I'm happy I contacted them. I also apologized for being overly persistent and explained to them that I own a small business and was not trying to hassle them and hope that all is well. Kate is who I've been talking with and she's been great.
Super good to hear dude

They just went up another mark in my book, so I'll definitely buy from them again.

I had explained to her how I felt guilty and that perhaps I was being annoying and she told me that I was not and they appreciate me bringing it to their attention and talking with them.

So, over zealous in the amount of emails, most likely, but maybe it was nice for them to hear me step by step getting to know the instrument they built and trying more and more with it.

Tonight I explored a LOT! I didn't realize just how vast this thing is or really what I had gotten myself into here. I thought this was a good starting point for modular and I was wrong! LOL!! However, I'm fucking loving it. It drones so well, the filter on it is amazing (it works intermittently with mine), the mix knob and pitch knob do crazy shit, and the oscillators with the sequencer are just killer. Honestly, I'm glad I got one of these.

I may try to find sturdier cables (those tiny one) just because I have clumsy hands. Other than that, it's killer. I can see myself putting this in a different rack altogether. I think it would flow better with the modules side by side. I could be wrong, but based on the patching I've done, it seems like it would work better. I'd also want to give each board it's on 12v source.

So, after some hiccups and talking with them, I'm happy.

I think everyone that got one of these will be as well.

I really want a Resonant Garden, Materia, Aether (in fact this is top of my list), or Illuminist Garden. I'm loving their non standard stuff. The pricing though! Yikes!

Yeah, Folktek are nice people. Gald your stuff is being taken care of, but be aware that this seems to be a deep machine and with a pretty unique architecture. What works/doesn't work for you with this will not necessarily translate with other modular gear.

If you change the placement of the modules, try to keep Matter above Motion, as you will likely connect lots of outputs from Motion into Matter's inputs and with small DuPont cables it's better to keep things tidy.

I wonder if connecting the modules to each other with euro cables underneath would be ok to share the power, it would be less messy than the DuPont for power...

Also, just echoing the sentiment for Folktek being really good people. They do need to work on their email organization and response times now that they're growing to the volumes they are. When they just had the obscure expensive custom pieces, it was easy to get responses. Over this past year I've either gotten a response right away or not at all. I've sent 4 emails with the same question a while back regarding my Triad with no response. Same thing has happened 4 or 5 other times as well. One time they explained they saw it but thought the other person was responding. So I learned that if i don't hear back that same day I need to send an email again and not from the same email chain. I think the RE: in the subject makes them think the other is responding already or something. They just need to work out that process for a better Customer Service experience but when they do respond they are always very accommodating and want to help. Good folks for sure and i CAN'T WAIT to go check out their shop when I visit Portland next month.

Just picked mine up from the post. Not even a little bit surprised when I found a broken capacitor on Channel. Came from C129. Hopefully they get back to me quickly

When they've all gone out maybe we can build an extra system with all the loose parts

Someone asked about EU power supply earlier. It does NOT come with a EU PSU. You'll need a 12V with a 2.1mm barrel tip (1A).

They verified that mine is in fact broken as well. They are sending me a new one with a prepaid postage slip. Pretty cool company to be so responsive.

All the other caps on mine feel pretty solid. I'm not sure why the one fell off. Although, I feel like they could have maybe packed it a little better. Like maybe individual boxes for each unit would have prevented some possible damage.

I think they mentioned that they also changed a bit the way they packed stuff. The first ones to go were probably the more prone to this kind of issues depending on the delivery people
I guess.

Still no shipping info for mine, and I backed the thing in the first day (or half day)...:(
