Red Dead Redemption is really boring because I have never been a fan of Rock star games there is some charm but its not rubbing me the right way.

Come Christmas I will get into Bioshock because the preview for Bioshock infinite looks amazing.

Skip Bioshock 2. It was just a cheap rehash of 1 to make some quick money. Infinite looks pretty cool though.

So any tips for dirt cheap yet good PC, PS2 or X360 (Yes I was young, and stupid) games that I missed to occupy me for a while?

I picked up Metro 2033 the other day for $15 bucks

For PS2 I'd say Shadows of the Colossus, ICO, Tomba, Okami, any of the Ratchet and Clank games. That's without stating the obvious choices: Final Fantasy, GTA, Metal Gear Solid, God of War, blah blah.

I don't play a lot of games on my computer, mostly because I have a mac. We all know how popular macs are in the software department. There are a few indie games that have caught my attention... Plants vs Zombies and World of Goo.

It's hard for me to name games for Xbox 360, because I feel like I'm in the same place. Trying out games that everyone finished years ago, because I'm a cheap bastard who waits 3-5 years before I buy a new system.

he pretty much covered all points, for PC I'd check out the old starcraft battle chest, you can pick it up usually for under $20, hell of a game

A lot of stuff covered already. As far as old 360 games:

Crackdown: Sandbox/superhero-ish type game, loads of fun, a real sleeper. Most people bought it for the Halo3 beta codes but ended up actually liking it.
In the beginning you can barely jump up a curb, by the end you can leap over skyscrappers. There is truly a sense of progression as far as skill acquiring goes.

Fallout3: Morrowind style (w/guns) set in a post apocalyptic DC. Awesome.

Batman Arkham Asylum: It's a batman game. That doesn't suck (a miracle!). Brutal (yet somewhat simplistic combat), fun gadgets, cool boss fights (scarecrow )
All the original animated series cast returns, with a great performance by Luke Skywalker as the Joker.

Dead Space: Survival horror. In space. :omg:

Mirrors Edge: Really fun parkour game with an new/weird visual style. I've actually replayed this one a few times, it's always fun to bounce off walls and run up things.

Lost Odyssey: VERY traditional JRPG, made by the godfather of Final Fantasy (teh gooch). Brilliant story line, I think I cried.

Mass Effect: Bioware style sci-fi western rpg. The sequel has swifter/more exciting combat, but as a whole the first entry is more solid, and in the end a heck of a lot more memorable.
Great story and fun "choose your own adventure" dialogue options.

Orange box. Half-Life. Portal. Team Fortress. Nuff said.

Bioshock: Another game with so-so 1st person shooter/magic power combat but a brilliant story telling experience.
I really enjoyed that the game approached things from an almost academic (albeit Randian) angle, tricking the brainless gamer masses into debating philosophy.
The plasmid(magic/abilitiy/skills) customizations are fun and can really change up how you approach each battle.

Dead Rising: Like Dawn of the Dead the video game. Zombie outbreak hits, and you're trapped in a mall. Awesomness ensues.

Cheers guys! Got most of the X360 suggestions already but definitely a few that are worth looking into getting.

Shadow of The Colossus and Okami get great reviews everywhere but I never got them. Maybe I should pick them up soon.....

Also Ruben, my bro's got Starcraft 2 unless you're a mad pro and you're bothered by nicknames that show aweful taste in anime (Grimmjaw :whateva: ) wanna play a game sometime? I'll do some practice first though :p

I think I've said it a few times in this thread but Shadow of the Colossus is one of the best games of all time.
They're even making a film out of it. The head of Team Ico is heavily involved.

"...producers “aim to capture the magic from the first hour of WALL·E”, an animated movie that started off nearly devoid of dialogue. And…

“Not that I don’t respect the Scott Pilgrim source material, but watching the movie, I felt it sort of dragged along,” Chang tells Play Till Doomsday. “Those are some of the pitfalls that we have to be careful to avoid. So these colossi battles need to be very significant, they can’t just be one after the other, there has to be something learned from them. We need to be cognisant of that and say ‘we’re not going to do a montage sequence.’”

Having played SotC and seen both WALL-E and Scott Pilgrim, those comments make a lot of sense. It might not actually suck.

Earthbound is awesome. The only used game store near me that has any selection of snes (usually extremely overpriced) somehow didn't know that Earthbound was rare and valuable, so I got it for $15 or $20 a few years back. No box or scratch n sniff guide, but I was still pretty damn happy to get it for that price.
