The beginning of the video is pretty neat, because the dude opens up and dismantles an original Mellowtron to show how to swap out the tapes. tbh, I would be a bit nervous to take one of those apart if I owned it. It would probably be a similar outcome to me trying take apart and put back together the engine in my car. :wha?:
Yeah, the start of the video is really really cool to see!

I'd like to try the Moog Chorus. I've already got VFE Choral Reef and it has a similar range of controls (delay, feedback, rate, depth, etc) to the Moog but I suspect the latter may sound better.

Guitar Player Magazine getting it (mostly) wrong.

Apart from the TRex Tape Delay none of these are in the least interesting to me.
Picking ten would be hard, but there are some serious contenders:

Catalinbread Zero Point
That LFO/ Filter thingey
Source Audio Delay
Catalinbread Talisman
Bellwether
Malekko Sneak Attack (I haven't heard a demo of this one though)

If I had to fill up the list:

Earthquaker Fuzz Master General
EHX Super Pulsar
TRex Tape Delay
maybe the Malekko Combover?

OBNE weren't at the Namm, were they? Otherwise I might be excited about the Procession too. :D

I read down and found myself it pretty complete agreement. I might come to a different top ten then you, but that was pretty fucking boring stuff they picked. (Although the high/low voltage modes on the Octavix suspends a little more of my interest than yet another Octavia clone generally would.)

The Antichthon was the demo that has stuck with me so far, and I generally find CB to be pretty meh stuff. I'm not sure how useful it'd be, but it seemed like it could be fun as hell.

I have avoided listening to thr Source Audio delay because I have a serious delay hoarding problem and that thing seems too fucking cool.

Haha thanks dude! I tried everyday to get a shot of a Metasonix full euro but couldn't get to it! I was definitely thinking of my ILF bros when I took pictures!

I would wait if I were you.

The Malekko sounds fucking amazing. I had the pleasure of listening to it for about 20 minutes. It's got a low pass in it, does bit crushing, and lots of other crazy shit. It's probably the best pedal of it's kind I've heard. No joke. I was super impressed. They said they still have a bit of tweaking too. I told them "nah dude it's perfect".

I mean you could pick up the Hexe, give it a whirl and flip it if you don't like it.

The Malekko is so much more than a bit crusher though. It's the first pedal of theirs that I can say with certainty, I want BAD.

I promised not to spill it until it was announced probably end of this week, but I'll have demos finished at the same time (guitar and bass)

All I can say is....It's made for BLACK METAL. :joy:

It will make its debut at NAMM
:poke:

They were there, with the Procession, but weren't presenting.

I like the tape delay and am curious to try the DOD.

Why Zero Point isn't on the list is a mystery.

Absolutely awful list, they picked the least interesting things there (T-Rex tape delay excepted)...
OBNE weren't at the Namm, were they? Otherwise I might be excited about the Procession too. :D
Not officially, though I think they had some off-book meetings / show-offs...

Some of the Malekko stuff. Sounds start at about 2:50 in.

Lol when he kicked the bit crusher on my immediate reaction was "It sounds broken, I FUCKING NEED THAT!"
