We're sorry,
But you're no longer needed..
Or wanted,
Or even cared about here...
Machines can do a better job than you,
This is what you get for asking questions...

I'm gonna give this reverse searing thing a try with a thick cut NY Strip. Not sure what to pair with it besides beer and some veggie (my taters went bad

)

I made chicken-fried steak, mashed potatoes and roasted butternut squash with garlic butter.
It was mighty good.

stuff i made this week:
overnight steel cut oats and chia seeds in almond milk, topped with shaved coconut, pumpkin seeds, sliced banana and a touch of maple syrup. this is my breakfast (with slight variants) usually 3 times a week.
sauteed parsnip and fennel tacos with homemade tortillas. breakfast today. i make breakfast tacos out of whatever veggies i have on hand at least 2x a week as well.
brown rice with sauteed tofu in a miso and black garlic marinade, garlic sauteed swiss chard, sliced avocado and gomasio - healthy and tasty lunch.
squid ink pasta in clam sauce with a side of spicy garlic brocolli rabe. dinner.
2 banana, 1 pear, a shitload of spinach/kale, wheat germ, almonds and water smoothie. for 2 peeps or 2 16oz servings. i make lots of similar smoothies with water and a balance of fruit/veg.
more but i can't remember.

Just got a new recipe book from one of my favourite restaurants as a late christmas present from a friend. Just shopped for a whole week of recipes from it!
(this place for reference if you like vegan and all allergen-free food:
http://www.el-piano.com/ )
The restaurant is so good and the recipes look good on paper.

Skillet cooked some chicken thighs, made a dijon and rosemary sauce with the fond, and had some roasted garlic green beans and tarragon rice alongside it.
