Man, all you need is the flamethrower and a shotgun.
Bailing C4 jeeps into outposts was super fun too, though. I wish the outposts regenerated.
The DLC seems entertaining.

Atrox wrote:ah ok. I've finished the story today and all missions/outposts. Don't know if I will search for the letters and remaining relics. Or maybe I'll start over again and just leave the story alone and liberate more outposts :)

liberating outposts has by far been my favorite part of the game. pissed me off i couldn't head to the south island without bothering w/ the main story.

see i didn't care for the flamethrower at all. used it to burn the drug fields, tossed it aside.
shotgun i only use when i'm out of ammo in my shredder or need to kill an animal that'd survive too long up close otherwise.

sniping out entire outposts without being spotted is my shiz. :success:
also some places that aren't outposts but that have gangs of privateers on the south island DO regenerate. found that out by a loot spot on top of a hill i still can't figure out how to get up to, think it's probably another part of the main storyline i have to do to get a big metal door that won't blow up to open...

The funny thing is, everyone, including myself, complained about how annoying the regeneration of the outposts was in the second Far Cry. It really interfered with the gameplay and fluidity of travelling. But the outposts in Far Cry 2 were always in the way, they were often in between missions and things like that. In Far Cry 3 they're often out of the way on a hill or in a cave or mine.

Yeah, sniping and Takedown are so much fun. Sneaking into the outpost, wait for the perfect moment and take them all out with a single takedown move :) Shit, I need to play the game right now!

I spent a whole night watching one of the craziest games I've ever seen.. Papers, Please.

It's set in '82 in some Soviet bloc country, war-torn and mistrustful of immigrants. You play a passport agency officer at the border and you have to inspect each immigrant's passport to make sure the names and numbers and dates match. You make about 50 bucks a day, your rent and food and bills are about 50 bucks a day, if you make a mistake you get your pay docked, and as the game goes on the entrance requirements to your country get more and more complicated and convoluted, plus there's terrorists and spies trying to make deals with you. It has 20 different endings and I saw maybe half a dozen.. they all involved you either being arrested and put in jail or deported and separated from your family. .. and did I mention it's a new game with pretty much NES graphics. I was really surprised at how compelling the game was haha, so weird and cool!

Been loving all the Dark Souls 2 beta footage lately too, last weekend they opened the network servers to North America for 3 hours, tons of fun on twitch!

I recommend Cook, Serve, Delicious. You work at a restaurant, serving a line of customers various foods that they order which you then prepare by clicking the ingredients into your work space, cook it up and serve it and if you've done it right they're happy. Now that's a fun weekend of gaming for you!

Haha Trey, I think you'd dig it!

Now that other game I was talking about, the one where you cook, serve, delicious, that's a real game dudes! You can watch somebody playing that on twitch.tv right now! Ha!

I watched a cool game lately called The Stanley Parable.. anybody play that? You play an office worker and have to make a series of decisions that will affect your life greatly, it's really funny and weird, very Hitch Hiker's Guide-like.

just finished far cry 3. awesome game, but like i've said, definitely things i'd change. main storyline was way annoying to me compared to just exploring and taking over outposts. regardless i'll totally pick up the next in the series.

also i'm glad i didn't pick up any other games during that weekend sale since AC4 IS TUESDAY! :!!!:

AC4... man it was a bit disappointing at the beginning, but i am    loving it now. slight spoilers if you're gonna play it & haven't yet...

NSFW: show
i'm so glad they brought the hidden blades back after getting a bit into the main story. since they weren't there at the beginning i was worried they weren't going to be. also sailing was an annoying bitch at the very beginning but it is SO freaking awesome once you get comfy with it (IMO). such a relief since it was annoying as fuck in AC3. also GOOD GOD CHASING THE SHANTY SONG THINGS CAN BE A BITCH. serious though i am loving it so much. pretty amazing game once again. :doom:
