I think I have asked this before but.. anyway for reals any sugestions that I might not have heard of along the lines of Moëvöt and Aghast?

Amaka Hahina is another LLN-associated project that does "spooky sounds tape" black ambient stuff. Abruptum may be obvious, but they did some grimey, ambient, probably improvised long-form recordings. Some of the later pure noise/dark ambient releases may be to your liking more than the earlier recordings, though (see: Potestates Apocalypsis).

You could also check out rehtaF ruO, but they kind of suck... They have their flickering moments of genius and truly unsettling creepiness, but they're mostly really hyped for no good reason whatsoever [IMHO].

Regarding Krallice, I thought the first track on the debut was really good around the time it came out in '08 or so, and I went through a period where I listened to the first album a fair bit, but I got burned out on it, and I've never really been able to get into anything else I've heard. It's not that I consider it objectively bad music, it just makes me really bored when I try listening to it. I've never been big on bands like Weakling either, though. Just not my cup of tea.

Amaka Hahina, I don't like them, they come off to me as like when you were 13 and got hold of a tape recorder and were bored.. same with rehtaF ruO, it's cute but.. there is nothing dark or creepy to it actually. To me the appeal of Moëvöt and Aghast is that they have enough "darkness" to the atmosphere to sound real[ish] but still have that black metal camp.. like Die Sonne Satan, is great but I don't find them as fun to listen to. Potestates Apocalypsis is a really good album, I had forgotten how much I liked it :thumb:

Some more cool minimalist stuff, they have a punk vibe on a lot of their songs.

Hey, I was listening to this earlier today! Found it in the YouTube related videos rabbithole, a couple of videos removed from Myrkur's album.

The clean and dirty vocals play off each other so well... sounds like a sitcom about a demon and a Gregorian monk who are odd-couple roommates and then start a band together

The Eastern Orthodox aesthetic is fucking amazing. I mean, they're hardly the first band to turn the church's imagery on itself, but they're doing it in a very original way.

I'd definitely go out of my way to catch one of their shows.
