Build your own. It's piss easy. I have a tough as nails plywood frame built. All I have to do is put some cheap fluffy carpet on that thing and it's as good as a 150 euro pedalboard.

That's true of course, thought about that too, a friend of minde promised to build me a flightcase-style pedalboard, but he promised that like 2 years ago  Maybe I'll have to remind him  And if that doesn't work out I will make 1 myself..

:oldrant: And that's always the issues when this comes up. Building a board is one thing; making one that's esay and safe to carry around is another. I'm the only guy with a pre-fabbed board in my band; my board is also the easiest to haul and the only one where stuff couldn't easily fall out. I've seen some great DIY boards (IKEA board being my fav). I haven't really seen any great DIY hauling solutions, unless the board is small enough to fit in good thrifted suitcase.

I wonder if Pedaltrain is hiring in their marketing dept?

It's from Experimentalists Anonymous, I think it is not for sale anymore, but they are about DIY so here is a Vero-layout:

Idunno what else to get, I'm pretty happy with it now.

I really miss my big box Rat :( nice board :thumb:

I think mine broke in the most epic way possible. When I turn it on it makes blippy crazy shit noises. My TAFM does all the RAT did, but now I have a nice noise maker.

I don't really know what Colin of Experimentalists Anonymous is up to these days. He did some great stuff a while back, made a few of these and I haven't heard much from him since. The Small Clone I've got was modded by him for tremolo and vibrato and other fun stuff.
The Parallel Universe is really great. The straight fuzz sounds very good. The starve turns it into 8-bit. The oscillation sounds better than most I've tried. Best feature, though, is expression control of gain and oscillation frequency. I like it first in my chain so I can do fuzz swells into whatever else I have going on.

I's confused. What is the two grey boxes a'doin'? :whoa:
I though the double one was an effects loop, but then I realized no dry signal was coming through. Or??? But there are two switches... Is blend/dry/wet? If so, me like. My loop mixer only has on/off.
And the conehead with the Kanye classes? :wha?: Feedback loop?

conehead is a chk chk boom feedback loop.
I'd venture the other is a true bypass/feedback loop.

What's the heart one by the parallel universe?

The plain metal with two switches is a bypass/feedback loop I made. One switch does the bypass, the other does the feedback. Dry signal comes in from the compressor. All the noisy, tonesucky stuff in the loop.
The Conehead is actually an early Utter Stutter.
The heart pedal is a Fuzzhugger Hugger with footswitches for the pre and post boost. The Hyperion and the Subzombie in the loop respond well to turning the pre-boost way down. The GZ Noise Floor is tamed by the post.
