my girlfriend informed me today that she's moving out. by phone. imagine my surprise and delight. not to mention heartbreak, terror, misery, and despair. we've been together for thirteen years; i'm really not prepared to start over again at fifty-four, particularly considering that i dumped my (meager) savings into the house and will now lose everything because i can't pay for it alone even if the mortgage adjustment gets sorted. i'm trying not to fall apart, but suicidal ideation is a definite part of my mindset. she even wants to take the cats.

thank you, my friend. i know a lot of it's my fault, as is always the case in these things...there's always plenty of guilt to go around, even in WW II. but that doesn't make it hurt any less, even though we've been at loggerheads literally for years. but i stlll love her, despite all the ugly awfulness that got piled on top of the personality i originally adored.

i can't even eat. i'm trying to choke down a couple of slices of toast to soak up the two Klonopins i took so i can go to sleep. it's 3AM here and i don't know if i'll ever sleep tonight.
