It was the pico module, wasn’t it.

right? that kinda bothers me too. i'm thinking about a second Pam's and a second Batumi. would be as many (more actually) outs, but with movement i'm more comfy with.

i WANT to like it. i love the idea of having a very specific range of movement out, but i just.... i dunno. mebbe i haven't learned it well enough yet.

not giving up on her. YET.

lol. i'm looking at doing a 6u instead of 3u for the Swarm case, which would give me room for a sequencer. and Rene has alwayyyyys been very interesting.

i'm dumb though - does the Rene and Zed8000 MK2 need a quantizer to run into? or do can they be step between pitches by themselves? or do you tune each step by ear?

Here's the trigger sequencer I tested a bit on Saturday. I told the guy that having a reset input would be nice.

It's intended as a playable/master thing, I think. Smart use of space and the active steps feature is pretty good...

IIRC the z8000 is unquantized but has many more outputs. The Rene has one quantized and one unquantized output. They both look really fun and if I don’t hit it off with the Rene I want to give the z8000 a spin some day too.

I just really want a hands on, playable sequencer that handles one voice well, I have plenty of programmy sequencer power right now, but they’re not jammy. I need to jam!!! Metropolis is a possible choice for me too.

I saw a post on Facebook, guy selling two Fourses and a few other IFM modules. I’d like to mess with a Fourses some day, in fact maybe someone here has done their homework. Which IFM module is best suited as an LFO?
Link? I don't have Facebook but maybe I can figure out a way to get in touch.

My impression is that Fourses is the closest to an LFO.

behndy wrote:also, who hete loves their Voltage Blocks? i am just not bonding with it at all. it feels like it should be so much more useful than it is. the reset is always wonky and i don't love the way the menu is setup to get it to do the things i want (smooth not stepped movement is always a bitch for me). need to spend a few days following along some tutorials to see why it's not making sense to me, but this is my second one and don't love it like i thought i would.

if i don't click soon thinking about swapping it for a PEG.

lol. or a second Pam's. i LOVE the Pam's. always run out of outputs.
I love Voltage Block. The interplay between programmed sequences and live control rules. Random sequence mode rules. I'd probably get annoyed trying to input regular melodies but it's great for off kilter / randomized patterns. I doubt I'll ever replace mine unless some kind of ultimate version 2 appears.

I got you fam (if you really want to buy).

Also finished building a uO_C yesterday. Getting that thing down to 8HP is so beautiful. Building it isn't harder than the normal version as well so it's just a win/win all around.

What do you use the O&C fpr ? There are tons of modes in there and the interface seems a bit too minimal, is it really easy to use ?

It depends on how I want the patch to be, but more often than not I use it for some sort of quantization. It depends on how much you like editing everything on your screen pre-patch, but once you have that set up you'll just need to know what each input will do for you. The manual for the O&C is very detailed so once you get the hang of it it can do a lot.

There is only one menu for each app so I don't mind the setup to much. I abhor that stuff but the O&C is pretty indispensable since it can do so many fun things.

i'm thinking about grabbing one again now that they're so tiny, does the smaller screen size bother you?
