Half of what Ibanez do is fucking amazeballs and then the other half could be lit on fire and never spoken of again.
They need to get into doing Japan made "master built" series of shit like Fender Japan do.
Just like superb build quality and finish with options that are not run of the mill.
And cool paint options.

I love my Korean built Iceman but I can't help but think if they made the same thing in Japizzle and turned it up a notch I'd never even think about buying another guitar again.

So in short, revive the roadstar & other lost treasures, weird pickup options (jap p90s, lipsticks and gold foils anyone), Japanese built, funky retro paint, quality woods.

In other words, Ibanez could fucking own the doomgaze/post-hesh market if they just followed my simple plan.

Iommic, I love your idea almost solely because i just want more doomgaze to exist in general. It could almost convince me to continue being a bass player. Anyone on the west coast into doomgaze and gay stuff need a bassist? Or a Synth-Bassist?

I'm not sure they're two worlds meant to be bridged, but if they ever did come close, it's probably already in the world of coding. I only recently figured out why it's a trope that trans women are coders (work from home, independent contracting, high demand job market).

Firmly agreed. There's some queer blackened sludge in the bands Vile Creature and Ragana. I saw Divide and Dissolve this summer and they were fun. And loud. And noisy. Haven't given their recordings a fair listen yet. Vastum is something like a queer death metal band, i gather. More gay/queer/trans/whatever metal, though, please and thank you.

How do you distinguish "gay" metal from "straight" metal? Is the sexual / gender orientation of participating musicians any relevant when defining musical genres?
