Leftover solid aluminum I had from a bent metal enclosure. Just flattened it out and cut to the size I needed. I haven't been able to play the guitar since I put the pickups in yet though cause everyone is asleep :-/

I fucking love that body shape Achtane

Here's a full body shot. Turns out I had the bridge and neck pickups switched, but I kind of liked it that way. So I dunno. Switched them around in the meantime. Going to get some Cobalt 12's for this guitar since high E broke yesterday.

That's a pretty beautiful Jazzy, stripes. Floral pickguards need to be a thing. The stamp looks great too.

That's awesome!
I want to have a white jazzmaster one day and do something similar to this to it.
I've always been undecided on painting the body or pickguard, but you just made my mind up.
Pickguard it is.

Whoa, that's a really cool idea. I also like the stamp, as well.

I hear gripes about them but I think they are perfectly serviceable pickups. Bridge PUP is surprisingly bright and the Neck Pickup is creamy. I love to push my Supercollider with the Neck PUP only and the tone control rolled all the way off.

That said I'd love to hear an original set of CUNIFE pups or perhaps a set of Lollar Regals for compare and contrast. The wiring they do out of the Mexican Factory is apparently shit. I would touch the PUP selector switch and it would start buzzing. Ground loops issues I believe. Had a guy rewire everything to a star ground and it quieted things up nicely.

This guitar has some issues though. I had the nut filed down to accept a drop B tuning with a .070 low B. I've since switched to a D standard tuning. So I need to replace that. Also the intonation screw on the low "E" is striped out. Thinking about just replacing all the saddles with higher mass saddles which would fix the intonation screw. I Would like to avoid the graphtechs that a tech at a local shop was trying to push on me. Graphite saddles would probably be fine on a trem equipped guitar,...but seems to be a bit overkill on a hardtail.

Been GAS'ing super hard for a WRHB equipped guitar. I'd love to try one of those out

My uncle has an awesome guitar collection and I never really bothered to take a pic of it until now. Here we are:

Image

From L-R
late 70s Fender J bass - '78 MusicMan Sabre II - really old Supro student guitar (sounds awesome) - mid 60's ES345 (probably my single favorite guitar on earth, I've asked him to leave it to me in his will) - Epiphone Casino 12-string - early 70s Gibson ES175 (one of my top 5 favorite guitars ever) - Gibson Banjo of indeterminate year - not sure what make of violin (haven't gotten a chance to play with it yet) - Gibson Firebird V reissue - I don't know the deets on the acoustics, I'm not a big acoustic guy

An old Tele and a couple dobros/resonators. There are a bunch more acoustics, as well as a few mandos on the wall behind, but I was kinda in a hurry and didn't get a chance to get a pic of them all.
