Awww yeeaaaahhh.
One of the writers for the video game mag I used to read when I was a wee lad and they still made video game mags apparently managed to collect every single NES game evar. Then he shipped them out to random people across the country.

I tried to get on yesterday, but couldn't get in a server.
Also, the character creation is garbage.

GTA is okay, I really kind of wish that I didn't buy it at release though. Was so expensive and I don't feel like i've gotten the enjoyment out of the game.
I should get a new TV, mine looks awful now.

I've been playing GTA Online. Guess I was lucky as I haven't really had any issues. It's pretty fucking awesome.

Unpopular opinion time: Fuck Grand Theft Auto in specific and Rockstar in general.

Why do you hate them? I wouldn't call myself a massive fan but they're pretty fun games.

I'm gonna leave aside the social commentary reasons because I'm sick of the internet backlash (suffice to say that as a trans person I'm sick of the way trans* people are represented in video games). Generally they release games that control like ass, are buggy as shit, are more frustrating than fun, and often aim for shock over substance. The GTA series is just the most concentrated example of those parameters.

I... kind of agree with this.
I also don't usually play evil as fuck characters or go on mindless rampages in games. If I have to kill, I tend to role play and do as less collateral damage as possible, I'm that sad. I can't usually get down with games like GTA, I've also spend most of my time in the game doing errands for people and sitting in traffic (I don't run reds). Paragon.
Ill give it a couple more hours, but I've certainly picked the wrong game for me.

Yeah I can't really argue with much of that? I enjoy the freedom to dick around but none of the mechanics are that great, what makes it is the combination of a variety of things and they get old kinda fast. I'm right there with you on the poor representations of non straightwhitecisdudes, it constantly pisses me off how "gamers" can't take that sort of criticism at all like it would somehow ruin the game if women or minorities had good, positive characterisation/writing.

Makes me remember CJ_white_skin.ttd.
I enjoyed reading the comment section and seeing people shitting themselves in frustration, trying to make the skin work.

Well, I mean if you're looking for a well researched and thoughtful representation of a transgender individual in a game that lets you pick up hookers then let's you kill them to get your money back...then

One: That's a bullshit cop out argument that I'm sick of hearing.
Two: No representation at all would be better than what's in GTAV.

Interestingly, I don't think anyone has lodged similar criticisms of
Goodfellas or
Scarface.
to clarify; other than identify them as such. You can say Scarface is misogynistic, and you'd be right.
