No idea how to embed on mobile.
Kick is retriggering samples from Radio Music, snare is sending gates to a Turing Machine to advance the ‘sequence.’ Pretty primitive considering my goals, but it’s proof of concept before I finish the system and buy enough cables.

years ago I saw a dude doing sorta the same thing, except he was advancing the sequence on something like an MFB synth. is cool. I dig.

Pretty cool. You know Duracell I suppose ?
That guy was more than awesome live (I'm lucky enough to have seen him a few times before he stopped playing) and had a somehow similar setup with his drums controlling a Nord Modular I think. Some of the best live performances I've ever seen, and I've seen a lot.

Will do for some proper vids. This was a quick phone sketch with kids in the room. Unless there’s a gain control on YouTube, I don’t know how to louden it otherwise.

dooooood i LOVE this. so cool.
ordered an ALM S.B.G. and a 2hp Reverb. had a small hole (giggety) and the 2hp sounds decent for what i want to use it for. hoping the S.B.G. send/return works WELL with pedz.

Didn’t know about Duracell. That’s great though—I can only assume he’s a big Lightning Bolt fan.
I have higher hopes for my own setup than what’s shown in the video, but for now I’m just glad it finally works as intended. And I plan to go a little more bonkers, but 200W and 8x10s are a little much for my kids at the moment.

Up to now everything I’ve done with modular has been in my bedroom so to speak. Now i have a friend has offered me an out of town gig in Portland, 3 hours away... I haven’t made up my mind yet, the thought scares me because I like to practice the hell out of stuff before I take it live. That’s how I’ve always approached bass playing. But with modular it’s almost like I don’t know how to practice. Or for me the act of patching is my practice, performing a patch seems light years away, something I hadn’t really considered yet.
Good news is I have a little time to figure it out, gig would be in early 2018.

Mylar had some good tips on this exact thing recently.

Reminds me of how Zach Hill does sampling in later Death Grips stuff, fantastic set up!

Yeah I will rewatch this in light of the new info. I watched it once before I had the gig offer, but things are different now.

lol. it was funny watching Mylar's first vid about playing out with 2 gigs, one that went awesome and the other where it just fell to shit.
just from you know.... playing all the shitty small places forever in bands.... yeah man. you're going to bring 4 g's of modular equipment but NOT a good DI? good luck.
