stopping to enjoy a perfect moment...it's a little too early to be awake, but i had a couple of short naps yesterday so i couldn't sleep as late as usual and got up at 7. sitting at the computer, about half awake, all fuzzy and warm with the propane heater which is the main heater for the little house going. my roommate is asleep, and my cat's sitting on the floor near the heater looking sleepy and grooming himself. everything is so quiet i can hear the cat lick his paws, and the little sounds that the modem and router make.

The doom I'm listening to is making me feel so.........powerful, I feel like I could beat a rhino at arm wrestling.

Just had such a nice lie-in, I have nothing I need to be doing today, it's really sunny outside but I don't have to go out in the cold. Best I've felt in weeks.

So, my girlfriend's parents got her tickets to see Death Cab for Cutie in Buffalo for her graduation. And they got a ticket for me too *o*

I get to go up to Buffalo and spend a couple days with my girlfriend, her parents, and her grandma (who's so wonderful, omg), and see Death Cab with my girlfriend! Fuck yeah! This has been a good couple months!

By the end of April, I'll have seen Jeff Mangum, Bright Eyes, Buckethead and Death Cab for Cutie. I just need to catch Modest Mouse and Das Racist now, and I'll have seen most of my top bands, I think.

After about an hour of playing with the bridge on my jag, I got the thing set up perfectly. As soon as the replacement trem plate gets here, this is going to be unbelievable.

I'm soldering to perfboard AND IT IS ACTUALLY WORKING OUT FINE SO FAR.
Stripboard is dicks.
I also discovered that I've been keeping the iron way hotter than it needs to be. I still really hate this bigass lead-free solder. If I had a different kind I could run it even cooler.
