Yeah, Heatwave was the best character this season, just like Captain Cold was the best from the last. I imagine they did that because all the other characters were so weak, though. Just like all the other shows.
Started watching Lost Girl, now. It's actually pretty decent, minus the usual constant sex bullshit that all shows have nowadays.

Watched to doc on the dude who wrote the Anarchy's Cookbook.
Spoilers to follow-
I've got pretty mixed feelings on this one. On the one side, all the dude did was put out information that was readily available to anyone at the time, but no one was really looking for it. On the other side, it has been used for HORRIBLE things or at least it's been found in possession of people who have done mass shootings, bombings...etc. So, I'm not sure how to feel. It's kind of a moral dilemma. Analogy time-he built the gun, but did not supply the bullets. Is he responsible for the deaths caused by said gun. Should he take ownership of that and feel guilt? He definitely did by the end and his rationale started to fade. On the same hand he was an angry 19 year old man who watched our government take horrible actions against people in the 70's and thought if they have this info, everyone should. So, what's the limit on free speech? For those who are reading this and do not know, he no longer owns the rights to the book and in fact his publisher tricked him in a way that he never truly did.
In my eyes, his publisher is the true evil in this, though he is not innocent. Again, though, the information was in the fucking library and it wasn't restricted to anyone. All he did was compile it. He did speak of many things in the book that were leading though. If you read it, it is an actual book. You have to look past the recipes. It talks of overthrowing the government and such, but that was something on lots of folks minds at that time and to be honest, it has been for as long as any of us have been alive. Thoughts?

I've been meaning to watch that doc and am assuming I'll have similar feelings towards it.
I have actually seen the movie and honestly don't remember it at all. So at best I can say it was forgettable?

Wife and I are on episode 6 of 13 Reasons Why. It's fuckin me up a bit but it def has me pulled in and engaged.

There's only so much magic possible with a show whose cast is comprised entirely of sidekicks and villains ... though the interplay between Damian Darhk and Malcom Merlyn was a hoot at times.
I took a peak at Lost Girl back when it was airing on TV and lost interest after one episode. Even Lexx has more depth.

Started watching Iron Fist. It's great so far and I don't get all the hate it received. Seems like it's cool as fuck and I'm excited to see how it develops. Iron Fist has always been one of my favorite comic characters, so this is fun for me.

Well people hate it because it is objectively terrible.
Also: that's an obscure character to love, but that's cool. I don't think I ever owned a standalone Iron Fist comic, and I was a huge Marvel fanboi.

Yeah, I stuck with Iron Fist until the end and... nope it's not good at all. You just get continually blueballed waiting for action that usually doesn't happen, and when it does, it's really boring. After the incredible choreography of DD's fight scenes, why the fuck does the show about the magic kung fu fighter have really dull fight scenes? They even managed to make Luke Cage's fights fun to watch when he mostly just stands there, invulnerable.

So they have game of thrones, so I finally gave it a shot... Blah! It's so bad, and not a good bad like xena.. Just bad bad.. The funny part was until that horrible 10 minutes I hate completely forgot I've read the first of the books... The book was ok from what I remember but at the time it came out I was already sick of overly wordy fantasy books in the vein of Robert Jordan.. That type of book really makes you respect the authors of the 60s and 70s that were able to fit the same amount of story in a 200 page book like Andre Norton, jack Vance and Marion Zimmer Bradley..

Watched Castlevania at work earlier and was pretty into it. Super short so it feels like a glorified pilot, but I'm looking forward to them finishing it off with the next 8 episodes soon. Dumb, violent and as cliche'd as you'd want an animated show on Castlevania to be.
