Richard likes pedals, but, unsurprisingly, J likes 'em more (@ 19:15):

I didn't even know they did a reunion show until now, but yeah I would have loved to see them live during their "golden" years. Actually I just would die to go back it time see every Seattle band from '88 to '92.

I enjoyed the album from Brothers of the Sonic Cloth when it came out but have not listened to it in a while now.

fuck this site for making me login after i already have done and losing a carefully composed post i have to do twice!

this is the Poet Laureate of the UK talking with Johnny Marr. two very intelligent and creative men talking about the creative process, living in the North Country, and of course The Smiths who Armitage loves. it’s an hour, but seems to go by in 15 minutes. i hope you enjoy it as much as i do.

Awe, yeahhhh. I haven't seen the Mudhoney one yet, that may be something for tonight. On a whim picked up the Touch Me Im Sick single at my local Hastings record shop when it came out which turned me onto Sub Pop. I loved Mudhoney very much and picked up Superfuzz Big Muff when it came out which I still have along with the Burn it Clean single and an awesome comp with Hate the Police. I didn't like their first LP as much and sold the 1st edition a long time ago. Wish I wouldn't have but I still have this 12" that was put out by Glitterhouse which thankfully I never sold. Also have this TAD God's Balls gatefold that I love dearly but lost the poster somewhere along the journey. I ended up being a singles club member for 6 months to a year but sold most of those. Think I still have the Lazy Cowgirls from that bunch and the Lonely Moans. Sub Pop had such a great aesthetic and marketing game.

Piano lessons were pure torture as a kid, but I've been watching these videos over and over again because the algo & I finally met in the right place for once (maybe never again?):
