Get onto rectifying that.

FZ2 may sound the most evil, be warned about the harsh mid scoop, however.
I'd really like an original Ibanez Standard Fuzz, but my bank says no.
May have to one settle for a creepy fingers clone instead.
But then you miss out on the rad enclosure and the sliders.
THE SLIDERS.

FWIW, you can usually get the superfuzz circuit packaged with a wah for much cheaper than the original. I got an Ibanez Wau Wau Fuzz for £50 ($85) which has the Standard Fuzz circuit in it.

Yeah, but I live in Auslandia, wherein Wau Waus are rarely seen for under $200 in crap condition.
Believe me, I've thought about it.

That and a Pharaoh are my survivor muffs, out of six or seven of them. Rules on guitar, best muff I've had for that. It does have all the features of a great RH muff; high but tight gain, cleans up well, super thick at the top of the tone knob. Also very little midrange scoop so it sounds more 'open' than most muffs. Haven't found the right setting & stack with it for bass, though I'm going to play in a couple minutes here.

+1 on the Ib Standard Fuzz. Have a Laowiz clone and it's Mudhoney-to-Electric Wizard fun.

Dare I say I may now have my perfect board? Ive never been happier than with this setup. Plenty of dank verb, before and after dank fuzz for washing walls of room filling sound. I know Ive said this before but I think the board is going to look this this for a while.

Signal chain is as follows...
TU2 > PHASE WIZARD A)PW Boost straight in da MACE B)DOD250 > EQD Ghost Echo > Bear Amps Blu Bear-D > Bear Amps Lucifuzz > OBN Procession > DOD BiFet > F800 Booster

going back up to a bigger board...im doing a lot more atmospheric stuff along with the doomy riffs now, so need some extra effects on cleans and weird noises...so re-wired up a bigger board with all the pedals i need. In a perfect world i can afford a pedaltrain pro, in which case I put the micro-vibe on here and the dirge delay for some weirdness as well as ghost echo for shorter reverbs. For now though this is all i can do...if the band actually works out and i feel i can justify the extra cost, then i will upgrade, but for now this is it.

Btw...the SS/BS Mini is so fuckin cool...one of the best OD pedals I have had...took me about 2mins to find my settings, but there's so many cool sounds on it.

only thing outstanding is a Dunwich pedal, that may replace the Quantum Mystic.

Tight boards duders.

Sam, interested to hear your thoughts on the mini, I've been thinking about one for a while now.
Can't make up my mind.

the Mini is really...really good man. Such a nice thick OD/fuzz. It can get pretty distorted, but always maintains a fuzzy character to it, its just really nice and different to any other overdrive pedal i've tried. I would highly recommend it man.

That board is the snazz, Sam. The Mini is a great pedal - I miss having one around for those little amp about to explode tones it nails.

That Ego has my attention though. I've never had a compressor, but I've always been intrigued by them.

Facebook made me do it, damn you Skip and your insistence that we be more active.

Recently trimmed the "fat" and removed the Procession which I was struggling with... it seemed to have a hard time at loud volumes and at low volumes I struggled with unity volume a bit so I sent it backing despite my love for it. Also removed a delay which wasn't seeing much love. Rainbow Machine for noisy interludes and some weirdness here and there. Was really curious how our resident Poet Laurette was using his... (paging samzadgan)...

First off...love the multi-pedal front row...especially that blackout effectors reverb!

As for rainbow machine...i use it very subtly...the pitch knob is a hair over 12 o'clock...sounds like an octave chorus effece on cleans. That way i get more use out of it. I kick in the magic when I want something weird to add in. It also works really nicely with the hummingbird...

That is a lean, mean board, dude.

Sams description of the Rainbow Machine has given me my first case of Rainbow Machine gas...
