I don't mean to blow smoke up your ass... but it's the best reverb I've played... and I've owned quite a few.

By far the best reverb I've ever touched. I've already spent hours and hours and hours just messing around with this and the Echo Degrader on bass. Going to try it out with keys and the Drone Commander tonight, it'll probably be incredible though. All of the videos I've seen of this and it still didn't prepare me for using it.

Have there been any innards changed in the RM-1N? I got a recent one and it sounds different than the one I originally got form Jwar. This one can go a lot longer before turning to pure oscillation and feedback, as well as having less clock noise. But on the other hand the slapback is more noticeable.

There has been nothing changed in the circuit, this is caused by the tolerance in the component values. Every component is made different and every RM has a different character to it, it's inherent in all analog gear, some sounds or characteristics will come out more than others

Hey buddy, unfortunately every component is different and every reverb module is made different. Big dick backplate!

So, I'm a little late to the party here, but this thing is so awesome. I haven't had a chance to run it through my big amp to hear the full potential, but even through the headphones, this thing is killing it. Great low end response with my Bass VI too.
I wasn't sure if I was ever gonna use the drone knob, but its pretty awesome to keep it right at the very edge of where the drone is audible so that shorter notes don't really pick it up but when I hold a note out it degrades into that droning crackle.
And the post gain mod works really well. I'm not using either gain stage at full blast, so the volume boost feels pretty natural. It's not blowing my eardrums out, just a little extra oomph. I haven't tried using a heavy fuzz into it yet, but it takes my Mini really well. And it sounds great with delay before it too. I turned the rm-1n off at one point and everything just felt so stale and empty.
I'm gonna have to find a way to use this all the time.

It makes me want to try an echo degrader. And a squarewave generator

Yaz--Echo Degrader is the El Supremo.
