I'm still debating whether or not to get rid of my Palisades for something else, It sounds fantastic on my Tele (lol) and fucking horrible on my Parker. I'm thinking of going for an Empress EQ w/ boost and an overdrive. But I want something that can sound pristine even if I'm playing jazz chords with loads of gain. What do?

i'd start by turning the gain down tbh



clarity vs high gain is almost an oxymoron, i prefer the method of dialing down the gain on a dirt pedal until the clarity is there, then boosting EQ bands into the dirt to dial back in an appropriate amount of br00tz without compromising the clarity too much.
i also find everytime i wish i could get more gain without making things muddy i should just play more aggressively at a not-muddy gain setting.

I actually kinda agree. It does its thing nicely. Probably won't get one still, but appreciate it more now that I have watched more demos.
