lol, yeah I love the mixer output, it has a fixed cab sim that is always on whether the pedal's dirt is on or not, so I use it all the time that way now, mostly for multi tracking drums and other sounds that need more oomph.

Rene is out for the Ansible + Grid combo. I do feel pretty heavy handed on the modulation side of things now though.

ER-301 is used for a lot of sound manipulation/sample playing/christ knows what else it can do 7 trillion things.

O_c falls under sort of the same thing, but more for quantization and other CV purposes.

Outside of that, I can use the Grids + Teletype to create and modify sequences on the fly.

RPG is a pretty good improv drummer. ISD is dirty and very lofi, but it's great. It shaves off a lot of the top end and definitely encourages use of extra distortion, and that is when it really starts to shine. Sounds awesomely trashy with the Plague Bearer and Great Destroyer, and it does some excellent bitcrushing noises when detuning drum samples. Great module to plug into your dirt pedals for sure. The bit-trashy pitch shifting also wreaks some real good havoc on the Wogglebug oscillators, absolutely takes them into the new territory I was hoping for. :!!!:
Wow this looks intense. The ISD sounds cool for sure.

Here's a nice little track I recorded earlier. Pretty sequenced sounds, I like the two voices going in and out of harmony.

This module is obese. It has much more flex than that 10 minute no talking demo. Stretching sounds and modulating hard leads to BIA-complementary noise swash. Plus can do boom, or click, or clank, simply. It loves to have its inputs stuffed and I ran out of modulation with both it and BIA going full bore.

To conclude, very yes module. Look forward to spending more time with. Also complements Equation Composer really nicely (BIT WIZARDS).

Give some iphone demos at least of variations in sound!
With the bit/sample reduction dimed on the Chimera are all the sounds pretty white noisey? I've been looking at multi-timbral noise sources and haven't come across much I've liked... From the demos it looks like this could fit the ticket but not many of them leave the reduction FX cranked for very long.

Are there any sound demos? I keep seeing overviews, but I don't care about your speaking, just let me hear it!

Anyone following the Eowave Quadrantid Swarm kickstarter? Comes in a standalone box, but it's eurorack compatible. It sounds (and looks) reaalllly good

lol. there's a demo up from Baseck of the Manther synth. sounds GOOD.

i trust in Crusty Joshity Malekko. looks like it incorporates some of the Varigate controls, but i'm suuuuuper excited about 8 individual outs TRASHY ANALOG DRUMS with cv control.

PLEASE SOON OKAY.

I read they're releasing one of those at a time. They've only got the Manther demos out right now.

Damn. I've had fun with that thing in the past, but I never imagined it'd be that useful... need to re-examine

i mean. that's cool. it's his stuff. release it whenever.

but.

like.

if he's going one at a time?

he should wait about 9 days between each.

because that would be BOSS.

Malekko (and Baseck too) will be at the Tokyo Festival of Modular next week-end too. Maybe there'll be a Manther there ?
I'm not that interested in these but they do look pretty cool for all-in-one boxes...

mannnnnnnn i don't know how useful it is so far but i loooooooove watching the Mordax Data.

Malekko Good Time Boxes - yesssssss. if you can, bother him about release dates? SMACK HIM WITH SOME CRAPPY AIRPORT SUSHI.

.......... although, even the 7-11 sushi and rolls and rice based goodness is tasty out there.

Question - sooooooo..... think i need something to multiply the MIDI out of the Pam's. sync my Digitakt just oh so wonderfully, but my computer DAW doesn't quite match up, and i don't want to time stretch parts to make them fit a tempo based grid. what should i look at? i think 4 outs should be plenty, but 8 is dandy if it's not going to be WAY more cash. tabletop or rackmount format is fine, but i think a rackmount would be better?

lol. i don't even know the correct name to look for. is MIDI Multiplier right?

would a Motu MIDI Timepiece work? or does that set the tempo for everything and can't be slaved to an external tempo?
