Strongly Agree

As a side note: I noticed today that 10% of my posts are in this thread and at first thought i was a spiteful person, then I read some and realized I may just be mis-using the thread.

Can't justify another thread just for Portia but she is a fox.

I was so pissed that both Pushing Daisies and Better Off Ted got canceled. And, I just realized that Reaper did also. Filled with anger.

I bought a netbook on eBay last week because I'm going out of the country for a couple weeks and wanted to have cheap computer with me instead of my main laptop, which would be a big deal to lose. Seller's ad says he'll ship next day with 3 day UPS. I contact him being like, I'm going on a trip and need this within a certain time frame, so just to make sure, you're shipping, next day, right? And he says yep, I'll ship tomorrow. So I buy it and pay immediately.

I get notice 5 DAYS LATER that he has just sent the package via USPS. So he lied to me and also broke the terms of his ad. Netbook gets here today, packed in a single layer of bubble wrap with some plastic grocery bags as filler. I plug it in, power it up, the startup music plays, and the screen doesn't work. No image. Nothing.

Now I get to deal with an eBay dispute while overseas, and have to find another cheap netbook locally within the next 48 hours. Don't really want to buy new as I won't be using it again after the trip. This guy had 100% positive feedback over 2 years as a seller, but has been a complete asshole in every communication after the first message (where he lied to me). Guess it serves me right for buying something time-sensitive off of eBay, but still. You'd expect better from an established seller.

i've found that watching European and South American football matches on cable TV in the wee hours helps me relax and get ready to go to sleep...the pace of the game, especially German football's sort of methodical trudging back and forth across Poland, is soothing to me.

in irritation news, the CD copy of the first Slowdive EP which i FINALLY found for a decent price arrived broken in half :mope:

Track down everyone you invited and make it their funeral pyre.

lol, also, i got really drunk last night, got dropped off at my house and went around back to get the spare key under one of the propane tanks on the deck. Unfortunately we redid the deck last week so the key wasn't there, so I ended up sleeping on the lawn for a couple hours(really not sure how long). I don't exactly remember how I ended up in my bed in the end. I think I just railed on the doorbell until my mom let me in.

oh, and the only people I can find to play music with are either half my age or twice my age.

Go with drummer twice your age and the rest of the band half your age. :thumb:

yep...if the drummer's survived that long, he'll be able to keep a beat no matter how fucked up he gets, and if the rest of them are younger you can mold them to your likeness bwaa haa haaaaaa.

Well the problem is that I'm the drummer for the band of younger people, lol. Although, I'm realizing the guitarist isn't as terrible as I thought. We jammed a bit today and it sounded decent. If the bassist finally shows up to practice and can just chug out some roots we'll have a solid post-punk outfit. I can fill plenty of space on drums.
