Thinking about making an actual spring reverb with an exposed spring cause I'm not buying that $400 thing. Any suggestions for alternatives cause I am not Mr. DIY.

I always want to pickup one of those Cozart 12's but always assumed they played comically bad.

I ran one of those for years into a SF Super Reverb, cool pedal (as are all HAOs I've played/owned). Crank it and use guitar volume to control gain. Also, don't put anything buffered in front of it.
