Not all passive basses sound like P Basses. :idk:

Plus, can't you just get a pedal to make passive pickups sound punchier and brighter? :snax:
No?

I'll build you one. $1,000. :p

Build me what though?

For what it's worth, I've only had a handful of pedals not work well with active bass and usually I think it has to do with the blend circuits used. Recently the ones I've had trouble with is the Chase Bliss Brothers, HEQ1, Fuzzhugger (anything honestly), and pretty much any super fuzz. If they have good blend, I never, ever have issues. I have had a metric fuck ton of fuzzes and have only played active bass for 23 years. I mean, I've owned more fuzzes than most people here care to know about.

Style wise, that sounds quite a lot like Abracadabra Audio copy . . .

I for one am super excited to pay $700 for a MIDI equipped Red Llama/ shape-shifting glitch vibrato with a graphic from the late 90's

It doesn't have anything to do with Abracadabra (or Chase Bliss), but a good detective would be able to figure it out based on the clues ;)

Yeah, I haven't posted any clues to Instagram. Everything you need is in my last cryptic post. At some point I'll just let the cat out of the bag, but this is more fun (for me) for now.
