Got it working then all of a sudden the sound stopped. LOL. I was using headphones and I think I must have bumped one of these tiny cables. I had been messing with it for about 30 minutes though and was like "meh" I'm done. Seems cool.
I want to see what it sounds like through an amp though. I'll probably do that later. I also need to get some patch cables.
I'm not really understanding the fx section very well. I followed the manual and I don't seem to be getting it to do much other than be touch responsive. Maybe that's where those caps came from? Though they could have been just snuck in from something else too. I'm sure that happens.
The sequencer is awesome. This thing BLOWS with headphones though. LOL! I know Ruiner noted that as well. One ear and can barely hear it. I'll have more time later today and I'll try and get this sucker working.
If anyone could post some pictures so I know just how to link the functions of the FX and Key parts need to be connected I'd appreciate. Once I get an understanding of this thing, I'm sure I'll dig it. It sound pretty fun from what I was able to hear.
Oh and I've fucked with the breadboard a bit. Got it kind of like a fuzz out crush sound. Super weird.

So you can trigger keys with the sequencer by running from the TRIG SEQ GATE points on Motion, patched to the KEY 1-10 inputs on Channel. Any time a light is on at one of the 8 steps on the trigger sequencer it will trigger that key to sound. Or you can generate a permanent drone by patching Channel's "KEY TRIG" outs to any of the "KEY" 1-10 inputs. That's how you use the sequencer with the Channel. Mental will accept the output from the TRIG SEQ OUT patch points, but the Keys wont. I hope that helps!
FX should work by patching from FX Select on Channel to either FX 2, 3 or 4 (tight delay, pitch shift, reverse, respectively). Make sure your mix is up, as you will only hear effected signal when that's not at 0. Headphones will be weird because you're plugging a TRS connection into a TS jack, meaning the Ring connector of the headphones (Right ear) is being sent to ground. You'll want a 1/8" mono to 1/4" cable to plug it into an amp.
If you're still struggling I'll take some video/pics and send them to you on IG later when I'm home messing with mine.
Also I haven't messed w the breadboard yet because mine won't mount due to the incorrect bolt sizes

Super stoked on that though.

Don't forget you need to plug into both L and R outputs. If you're plugged into L you're only hearing the dry mix. If you're plugged in to R you're only hearing the wet mix. If you turn the mix knob all the way dry you will only hear out of one ear and vice versa unless you have both inputs plugged into a mono channel or if you leave the mix in the middle so that you have a dry signal on one speaker and wet on the other.

Not my experience at all?? Wet output definitely absolutely comes out of the L channel when the mix is above 0%. The reason you only hear wet output from the Right input is that the L input channel is normaled to Channel synthesis, whereas the Right input requires an external input. However, and the manual confirms this, the audio signals are not kept isolated, but are mixed at the outputs due to processing, so you'll hear a wet version of the L input (again, Channel synthesis) in the right ear when you have any mix above 100% dry/0% wet.

Not for me.... but pieces fell off my Channel during shipping as well so maybe that has something to do with it. Another guy I talked to said he experience the same thing i was so i assumed it was normal.

I think the right side of my bottoms board is broke. Non of the effects work or any of the keys. I’ve emailed Folktek 4 times today. Lol. I’m sure they are probably not happy but I want an answer. No replies yet.
The good thing is I figured out most of what is going on with you folks help! Some making some fat fuzzy sequences.

I'm pretty sure they're busy as fuck now, they'll get back to you but sending tons of emails will not make things go faster.
So maybe just give them time to ship the things for people who actually used their indiegogo ?

I know it can be frustrating to have your thing be broken or not working as expected....but yeah, hassling them isn't going to help your situation. They're clearly willing to help people, just gotta wait your turn man.

I can’t respond here without getting angry so I’ll just not.
Thanks Baremountain and Ruiner for the help!

According to my tracking number, it will be here in 1 to 10 business days. That's some solid accuracy. Hopefully it gets here in one piece, rather unsettling trend of them showing up broken

yeah.... kinda almost makes me wonder if I should anticipate the arrival with more dread and less joy than I'm doing now
WHat do I need to sync it to MIDI?
Would EU-Peeps need to get a different powersupply or can I jam the mescaline straight out of the box?
