Lmao Skullz you'll probly win I don't really have anything planned.

I'll probly just do my regular board with a homemade fuzz thrown in in place of the Muff. Maybe a homemade delay alongside my beloved AD-9

I should have clarified I was thinking a DIY pedal category not a DIY board....... I was thinking that would make it easier and funner for the builders. It's alot easier to build just 1 pedal and pay paint staking detail to it.

Exactly! There's so many talented builders, I'd have alot more fun looking at individual pedals they put a shit ton of time into.

^ Very good.

These all seem like solid ideas. I think Bass and Guitar might be mergeable, but other than that it seems to me like this is more than enough. I thought Astronaught had volunteered to organize this. Hadn't you? I could help if you want.

DIY without demo is shit. Sorry to disturb the parise. I love the idea myself but without a demo of somekind no one knows it that thing is working and what it is doing...
With "normal" manufactureres everybody knows how it sounds. Here it is sepecial. Just a Mockup would be uncool IMHO.

Cat 1) Full Rig (Amp, Board, and Guitar)
Cat 2) Best Pedal Board (post count 250 and up)
Cat 3) Best Guitar
Cat 4) Best bASS
Cat 5) Best Newb Board? (250 post count and under

Here's other categories we've now discussed:

Cat 6) Best OMD (other musical device)
Cat 7) Best DIY build (would require external and gut shots)

How many categories should we cap it at? Have we even decided whose running this thing?

Wait, I guess I misunderstood this like three pages back. I thought you guys meant "best GUITAR board" and "best BASS board". But if you mean actual guitars and basses, are we talking best single instrument, or best collection of guitars/basses?

I would kinda rather have more board categories, but I'll defer to the majority here.

(Not that it matters, I don't have a chance in hell of winning any of these categories)

That was what I thought too. And yeah I think it should focus on board categories as much as what would be reasonable.

And yeah demos for all DIY submissions! Even if it's a crappy demo it would be cool

Single instruments would be my preference for the bass and guitar categories. You can throw the multiple instruments in either the rig category or add an 'My name is Excane and this is all my shit' category.

If newb boards were actual newbs rather than lurkers it'd make more sense as a category. If you want multiple board categories I'd rather it be done based on pedal count. Either way the voting could still be broken down like the last time so there's only 10 boards up at a time. No reason not to drag the voting out a bit.

Also, we're doing sound clips yeah?
