Youre lucky to even get someone off TGP to agree to post (or not, in your case) to Australia.

Got a Monolith Oracle in the post today, had literally 5 minutes on it, but :animal:  :thumb:

I keep hearing about this...can someone explain the difference between the different versions of the monolith? (i.e. the oracle, spectre, etc..) :idk: :?:

The Oracle is very heavily based on the early British Fuzzes - Tonebenders and Fuzz Faces, and with my limited time with it I would say it definitely sounds like a Tonebender - probably a MK 2 but with a bit of the fuzzface gain with the fuzz (or density) up high. The Spectre on the other hand is alot lower gain, and goes from a treble booster type sound to a raspy garagey fuzz...It is probably more unique sounding than the Oracle but my opinion on that could change after spending more time with Oracle today. I think part of the uniqueness of both of them is the tone controls - Spectre has a hi cut tone knob and a switch to engage a more mid sounding mode. Oracle has a tone cut knob that you can pull for 2 different cut settings - it can get alot darker than the Spectre, which excells at the hi mid and treble toanz. AFAIK he only did the 2 pedals in very small numbers and has left the business and is uncontactable right now, with no plans to reissue them.
buncha stuff...

 , yeah it makes a nice change for us...now to get people to actually send things over here! Actually ILFers are normally cool with it, as are the folks at DAM, but TGP :idk: Must be a TGP thing....But the flipside is its the worst time to sell anything...
