What’s the little switcher for? A certain amp? I thought it was a little TB looper at first. My apologies if it’s evidently apparent. I’ve been drinking.
Edit: looks awesome regardless!

Thanks! It's for a Katana, which isn't obvious since they somehow let a product out in the wild with no branding all over it. Integrates well, currently using it for stacking effects or sections of songs that have multiple effects at on at once then off at once (instead of dancing around the board switching things off with urgency).

That's sweet. Is it pretty intuitive? I too use a katana mostly. I thought that might be the switcher but I've never really looked at it. I'm intimated by the software. Is it relatively simple? I love the idea of actually using the katana as more than just a cleanish platform.
Like for instance, the clean and crunch channels on the Katana are both nice. I could easily have a clean, mild crunch, and crunchy preset. Dang I'm getting all pumped just dreaming how it might work.

Yeah, the software is pretty intuitive. I truly hate menu diving, and I like using the Tone Studio. I've currently got the channels set in increasing gain stages (with effects that can be turned on/off): panel is straight clean, Ch1 is Warm OD that's pretty light, Ch2 is Blues Driver with moderate gain, Ch3 is Muff Fuzz (which isn't terrible like I expected) maxed, Ch4 is Metal Zone all sorts of fucked up EQ with delay and soaked in reverb for "leads" type layers.
Installing the Sneaky Amps stuff is pretty easy too, which is 30 more amp types to choose from. I think all my presets start with a Blackface amp.
You can get really particular with the settings, or you can just look at the "knobs" for each setting and imagine it's just a pedal you're tweaking. I'd say it's worth the $100 for the controller and a couple hours poking around.

Awesome. Thanks for the insight. I've read a bunch on other forums about the sneakyamps stuff, good to hear that it's really easy. I'll plan on making that all happen when I get a break in my studies. June's going to be a great month for my tone
I'm thinking that switcher and bumping up to a pedaltrain novo for the extra row and bam! Hecka tones.

This board is rad. How are you powering it?

Cioks DC5 is in the mail. Currently using a cheap One Spot daisy chain but getting lots of pops and noise.

How you getting on with that Red? Tried one once and it was pretty sweet.

Fucking love it.
Combined with the Russian Muff it's an awesome wall of gross. On its own it's great from SIKK LIXX to washy noise.

God I love this setup, and I'd not really looked into the Metro series but that looks like almost the perfect size.
I've also been interested in checking out the Red but never really got around to it. Seems like a much better high distortion than people are giving it credit for though. Did they discontinue it or something?

Looks like it. They were on sale for $90 around the holidays last year, on Reverb they are either going for full retail (lol) or around $90 still.

Nice setup! How do you like the Dope Priest? Can you get a fairly smooth tone while still retaining the sustain?

Thanks, and I love the Dope Priest! It will do that - it's like a really good pint of Guinness .....
