I'm not sure why we all pretend that after our next gear acquisition, that's gonna be IT. No more. We'll be done.

Who're we trying to kid?

Oh fuck, man. You guys are missing out. Some nicely toasted bagels....still warm when you put the whip on so that it gets all half melty. Turns an almost mother of pearl color. Sometimes I might have a little left on my the side of my mouth and you know you fellas can't help but to reach over and caress it off for me. Lick that finger. You know you want to.

that brings up this horrible (for a bunch of reasons) memory from when i was playing Magic way too much and did a few tournaments. there was this huge troll beast of a woman, fat as twelve hermaphrodites, so fat she was in a wheelchair, PRETTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTttttttttttty sure out of laziness. she had that swelling about to rupture skin where she couldn't wear shoes anymore. hoofs. the woman actually had furry hoofs.

but there was a part where her boyfriend or husband or barely trained helper monkey (he also was a PRIZE) was feeding her. she had this sandwich, about three big scoops of mayonnaise and mustard squirted out over her her fingers. and she started to slowly and lovingly suck off her flanges.

fucking HORRIFIC. the noises. the sights. the SMELLS. this was a room full of hardened, unwashed geekdom. and a few people started to retch and had to run for the bathroom.

horrIFIC.

You guys still pretend that? I was supposed to be done in January but I've already made a dew trades and started looking for a new amp.

And Behndy, that sounds horrible. If it makes you feel any better, she's probably dead by now.

i'm at the point now where most of the EFX functionality i want is there...there's stuff that could be upgraded, and a small number of things to acquire, but it's largely optimized. the thing i could go goofy on, assuming i had a job and shit, is amps. i could happily stand a couple of different guitar amps to use for alternate voices to the Laney, and i have no bass amp at all. fortunately the Laney has two low-frequency Greenbacks, so it'll handle the Jazz Bass, but i'm pining for a couple of hundred watts and a 15.

I've had 4 months to basically organize some receipts and clean a 20x20' room. Didn't start the cleaning off until about 2:00 today...now I have to stay late or come in an extra day...and I'm procrastinating right now by writing about it. /futuresailorsisawesome

I think you're actually proud of that.

not so much proud as relieved to let go of that, and of certain other stuff as well that i respect and even enjoy in some ways but didn't really connect with on the deepest level. there's other Beefheart i'd have kept if i owned it, but i just don't see myself wanting to listen to Trout Mask again. Clear Spot or Spotlight Kid, sure, but did i need Trout Mask or five dollars? it's a relief to be able to say no, i really don't need to keep this because i'm not that much into it, and no, i really don't like Black Flag, or Philip Glass, or Can with Malcolm Mooney. there's a bunch of music i bought because i felt like it was important for me to hear it in the days before you could audition anything in ten seconds on YouTube that i just don't need any more.

Excellent point. Trout Mask Replica is, however, one of my favorite albums. I'd never let that one go, but, yeah, why keep it if you don't like it?
