hurm. so, i have that v1 SCM and Expander. SO good. work perfect, but had that gunk on them. cleaned them up really well, no damage on the boards i think just the panels.

but i just replaced them with v2 (really wanted the illuminated button instead of the switch for on/off and 1x vs 4x on the Expander), so if anyone wants a cosmetically damaged SCM/SCMXBO hit me up?

i dunno. a hundy shipped?

Dark Barn wrote:Stillson Hammer MkII should be pretty amazing if/when the 2.0 firmware is released and stable. I used to own one and my two biggest gripes, fiddly ratcheting system and no song mode, are both addressed in 2.0. Makes me regret not hanging onto mine at least to try it out. Downside; you need another piece of hardware (PicKit) to do updates.
Good to know. It sounds like the O+C can actually do more in some regards. Except that programming is a bitch in sequins. My friend did just buy a Stillson Hammer mkII, so maybe I can test that out. I wonder if there's a way to program that's not a PicKit... I do already have a Load-n-Go that can program SMD PICs if there's a jack on the pcb itself (think Chase Bliss pedals).
behndy wrote:i am loving the FLXS. it isn't as awful looking in person as in pics. which. you know. GOOD.

but it does a LOT. super verbose, pretty easy to get your head around it's programming style, and i'm excited about the features yet to be implemented.
I really do need to look into it more. It's not that it looks awful as much as it just looks obtuse.

In the end I'm just afraid that I'm going to get frustrated with what's out there and spend years building something that's exactly what I want. Not that it's bad, but it's less time MAKING music

Perfect sequencers don’t exist!

I'll still always stand behind the Xoac Moskwa sequencer. It was very straight forward and immediate. Needed a few external modules to really shine (Ostankino and a quantizer), but I really enjoyed it. I am also really liking the ideas behind the Motion sequencer in the Folktek Mescaline. I still think it would need a few updates to be an idea eurorack sequencer, but it works really well in the Mescaline

i don't know what that is! wooooo!!

this.... is how i would want to use a sampler though. something about the Morphagene just turns me off. every time i have the room or extra cashes i end up grabbing something else. part of it is i don't love MN labeling and contorls i think?

I got to see the Morphagene demo'd at the Make Noise facility. Dude made it look like child's play to do all sorts of rad stuff with it. I feel like I'd just stare at the thing with sad eyes because I'm too stupid to fathom all the scribbles.

yeah. they make some AMAZING loots. but. not a huge fan of obscure labeling.

lol. they're not as bad as some MANLY pedals though. i hit this footie for... Beef? fucking. label it what it IS.

also, going to list my OP-1 again for the cashies. it sounds so good, i just can't click with the tape recording aspect.

The tape recorder has never made a lick of sense to me but for some quick n' sweet digital pads or noise it cannot be beat.

The Sample Slicer looks pretty fresh, but this gif is badass!
